This article was posted few weeks ago, people to people relations have always been good but unfortunately politics has spoiled things for us all. Has shared few drinks with Pakistani guys who stayed at my cousin's hotel when they were here for medical treatment. Genuine guys through and through but alas things can't get better between both of our nation.

Obviously, Indian and Pakistani people get a long well - if it wasn't for the destructive politics played on both sides, we could have had a competitive yet friendly and beneficial relationship - sadly, the truth is very different.
Otherwise, if you want more experiences, just go and live in the UK or other hotspot for a while - you'll see you'll get a long very well with Indians.

Yes, I posted this quite a while ago. Thank you for remembering that.

Here is another good article I just posted for discussion:

The cultural charades of our losing middle class
I am sure I am speaking for every Indian here, we take Pakistani guys who are critical of their own country more seriously than the random rambo from across the border.

Totally agree with it. Blame the politics.

You know a particular person is genuine and intellectual when they are self-critical; nobody likes douchebags.

If we look at the general relations between Pakistanis and Indians (families or individuals) settled for a decent amount of time in countries like Canada, States, EU countries etc. one can realize that given a healthy environment and security nobody gives a damn about politics, religion, or history.

Oh that was a very cute artcile...cute as in I felt like pulling the cheeks of that guy Tahir mehdi for being so mellifluous about India...despite being a Pakistani.
He's right that in India even if you introduce yourself as "Tahir Mehdi" or "Naziya Khan" nobody would ask you which country you're from. The guy it seems didnt come to the southern tip of India, and so to add to what that guy had to say about Indian varieties of non-veg food I would say Kerala must be the only state in India where ppl would eat beef even in breakfast. Shocked?? are you??
So when are you coming to India?? :-)

and the other Pakistanis...
@Leader, @Marshmallow @Mugwop

I liked these lines in the article best
"“You know what? Please, come closer. It is a conspiracy of the world powers, the US, of course. It’s a part of the new world order. They plot to make us fight each other. They are afraid that if India and Pakistan joined hands, they would not be able to stop us from ruling over the entire world!" ....
exactly what I think!!

....except that any Pakistani who is liked by Indians here MUST be a RAW agent! :D
And I was called a Pakistani spy...believe it or not!!

You have just shown your hand. You said it, everyone was just thinking it. Now everyone will know you are a RAW agent.

If that was the case Metanoia then Pakistanis in UK would not have been having the way they did - in a whole number of different cases, not just one.

Blame everything on politicians and religious extremists. They are key of hate on both sides.

Or CIA agent working of Obama to brainwash innocent Pakistani minds.
