Bad news for Pakistan car and truck industry and bad news for employment levels in Pakistan too.

This is really hurting Pakistan to spend so much on 575 buses, when most nations could make it them selfs.

.
Now you know why the railways is in dire straits

The buses and car industry is 1000 times bigger then the pharmaceuticals industry, yet Pakistanis won't moan over this.

I think this is selective thinking 100%.

Well India is buying Metro coaches from China for Mumbai Metro but China won the contract from bidding process competing European countries, so your claim for being expensive is wrong. Also, Bombardier has set manufacturing plants in Salvi, Gujarat and BEML Bangalore has also started manufacturing subway trains.

Bad move.

Chinese buses (Cerita chassis imported from Kinglong) were procured for BEST and they turned out to be such shitty that within 4 years they are being replaced with Volvos and TATA Starbuses.

.
Pakistan auto industry needs some serious competition.
for crying out loud a 30 year old peice of junk is still the most popular car in Pakistan.
And the kicker is that it costs about $5000 :woot:

In Canada you can buy a modern Hyundai (voted best car a few years back) for about $9000

The Chinese need to be welcomed into our auto industry and also give them incentive to build cars in Pakistan, that way you have employment and competition.

.
Chinese transport company, wants to run Chinese buses.

Why do other people have issues with it :cheesy:
