I already told you Russia's Navy was almost non existeny, they could NEVER have been able to take or even come close to Taiwan or Okinawa islands conyrolled by Japan away from Imperial Japanese Navy, forget about invading Japanese mainland. ONLY A MIGHTY POWERFUL NAVAL POWER COULD INVADE AND DEFEAT THE ISLAND OF JAPAN ,and Russia was not a naval power during world war II, it was more of a land power. Its navy would have been wiped out by Japan in a one on one confrontation like during the first Russo-Japanee war. Moreover, you cant compare the casualties of the U.S with Soviet russia, since if even the MIGHTY US Navy admitted it would have been a huge battle/task to invade Japans mainland and that the casualties would have been in the millions even for the U.S navy, then believe me, Soviet Russia with its non existent navy woyldnt have stood any chance at all in a naval one on one battle against Japan.
