54 countries need debt relief

@VCheng sb,

A successor state is not a requisite.

If there were no nukes, that indeed is not a requisite. But with nukes, it is a different ball game.

Regards

Nukes can always be decommissioned. The process can be long and meticulous, but it can be done, if it ever comes to that. The economy is the key. If it does well enough to sustain a nuclear power status, all is well.

But that is the issue, isnt it? If Pak had an economy well enough to sustain its N status, all these threads would be unnecessary, no?

That is a bhangee wet dream.

We saw exactly same BS articles post COVID.

Western countries do not want poor countries to get out of their clutches so they use institutions under their thumb to spread economic chaos in these countries. Ignorant Pakistanis buy their propaganda hook line and sinker while gora loving Pakistanis amplify western BS to promote their agenda. Dau takkay kay Indians simply get a hard on from reading Pak economic disaster **** which is why they come crawling out of their naali when they see any article relating to Pak economy.

All developing countries that are not energy exporters need USD liquidity. That is simply the nature of international financial system. Countries of Asia Pacific have gotten around this problem by turning themselves into export hubs while countries like Turkey and India, which like Pakistan, run persistent current account deficits, finance their USD requirement by attracting private funding i.e foreign investment in financial securities as well as in real economy. Indians especially, are masters of putting lipstick on a pig. They get their loose moral Bollywood heroines to perform jiggy in front of goras and that opens the purse strings.

In contrast to Indians, we Pakistanis are champions of turning Cinderella into ugly sister. Sucking western teat is the favourite past time of our elites which is why being in the IMF program is seen as a mark of honor. Even mard-ay-momin's son, Ijaz ul-Haq, worked for American Express while the father was busy imposing Islami nizam in Pakistan.

You see instability in Pak every time country takes a step towards economic independence. Happened at the end of Ayub and Musharraf's reign and IK was removed as soon as his government started to get a handle on the economy. This is not a coincidence but Pakistanis don't see the threat much in the same way as leadership of Moghul empire who kept granting firmans in favour of EIC. We know how that story played out. Will our fate be any different?

The good paying job market in Canada is also taking a hit. Populist rhetoric is said to take the world by storm :undecided:

@Burger_King

They get their loose moral Bollywood heroines to perform jiggy in front of goras and that opens the purse strings.

You have to give credit to Indian policymakers for this ahem innovative use of artistic talent. Let us hope we are blessed with more such Bollywood heroines, who are high on patriotism and low on morals (and clothes).

Regards

Most countries' budget policy is to maximize spending.

When there's a crisis, most of them will be busted, there's no room left.

Today's situation is not so surprising.
