Former British Colony in Southern China, is Hong Kong, it’s GDP was equal to the ~20% of the total GDP of the Entire China in 1997.
So go get educated before you make such stupid and childish claims.
Also learn to read, I said countries all start somewhere, China wasn’t rich until recently.

Whether a country remaining poor or becoming rich is mostly a cultural thing. China rises from the ashes, only few had doubt you would remain forever poor. I have the same hope for Vietnam. About making xy is easy, man, it’s ironic.
