HAL poduced Aircraft are of Lesser quality than Russian produced Ones.

And the Russian ones aren't that great of quality to begin with. You don't see half of the f-16's crashing themselves

159 Mig-21's
40 Mig-27's
12 Mig-29's
3 Su-30's
9 Mirage-2000's
19 Harriers
39 Jaguars


Apart from above, some Two dozen Unidentified combat aircraft (most prob Mig-21's)

For a total of over 300 planes. This list DOES NOT INCLUDE the retired aircraft which crashed such as the Mig-23's, Mig-25's, Su-7's etc which would push the number well over 400.

Practically, the excuses like MIG-21 are old,cheap parts,pilots are new or not trained is not going to work... at the end of the day the "482-872" figure would sound really bad for a IAF which is supposed to be one of the best.

Let's hope the new moderanization plan would fix this issue asap.
