After the Gujarat riot, I remember all these fanatic Indians were blaming the center (Congress) instead of the state government (Modi), citing some conspiracy against innocent Modi.

And now it's the other way around - whatever suits you hindutvas, eh?

A lot of the outrage is because of the murder of M.M Kalburgi which I think needs to be protested strongly. However the target cannot & should not only be the centre, the state government whose constitutional duty it is to maintain law & order should be held equally responsible & should have been named & shamed. It is quite possible that a fringe right wing unit may be involved, what is stopping the Karnataka government from bringing the culprits to book & then clamping down hard on any such organisation or even going after similar organisations? Since the state government is run by the congress, surely there is no ideological sympathy with any such organisation, which should make it all the more easier to go after any such organisation. The problem here is quite clearly the selective nature of the outrage, how anyone can give a free pass to local governments is beyond me.

This has nothing to do with protest against the killings or growing religious intolerance, It's pure hated for a common man with modest education qualification and a poor family background. The elitist circle of Lutyen and their lapdogs are unhappy that their bastion has been breached and they fear that their vise grip on the power centers are loosening day by day.

More like outrage is not selective, but the target is. '02 Gujrat happens, target was Modi 'cause he was the CM then. '13 Muzaffarnagar happens, target still was Modi.. not as much the local administration, same goes to Dadri, Pansare, Kalburgi or Dabolkar. Local administration who is responsible for maintaining law & order is allowed to go scott-free & all the ire is directed towards one individual. So it's more of a case of selective target rather than selective outrage. or maybe both, depending on the incident!

You'll be going in circles then, come next state elections you will hear about some people doubting "Unity in diversity" of our country. The fact here is Self proclaimed flag bearers of secularism will force their lap dogs to raise the hind leg and p!ss on the flagpole of our country for their own hatred for a man who is not like them.
