4 New F-22 P Frigates Coming to Pakistan

again same **** we bought four out of those 2 or three we got how can we get 4 again please use ur mind and post remaining one or two will come to pakistan not 4

All of four F22-P under contract in 2005 have been completed and inducted in PN.
1- PNS Zulfiqar
2- PNS Shamsheer
3- PNS Saif
4- PNS Aslat
No news about any other F22-P to be made.I think we are going for Type54A bigger ships.

I think countries like Oman, Syria, Libya and Algeria should look towards future partnership with China on SSK Class Submarines as well on Future Frigates, Corvettes, FAC and other surface ships. Although those Muslim countries who are evaluating frigates should look towards the Type54A and Type54B and Chinese new SSKs as Submarines.

Zardari gov is to blame they have made zero transactions for Navy or Army since they came to power

I am still upto that PN should look towards joint development with China in SSKs and other programs too.

If anyone is willing to indulge a newbie, I'd appreciate it if someone answers my question :

Is it possible for Pakistan to have a decent deterrent based predominantly around frigates with pronounced anti-air capabilities whilst the anti-ship role is relegated to missile boats armed with the YJ-82/3 (or a newer variant). Additionally something to the effect of the 'Jindalee Operational Radar Network' be replicated to provide significant coverage for Pakistani waters and be backed by surface based anti-ship systems, perhaps even an air wing of J-15s to provide exclusive air support to the navy. And for all of this to be done over the next 10-15 years.

Cheers,
Armstrong.

What you are suggesting is not a cost effective soluiton for smaller navy like PN. In case our offensive capability shifts towards fast missile boats than couple of things would happen:

1. Our sea denial capability shrinks by 50% if not more -- due to the limited range of the Fast missile crafts.
2. We would be relegated to coastal defence at the most.

PN's doctrine, even though never published, bases its offensive capability on the subs and aviaiton assets armed with long range AShM. The rest of the assets are for maritime escort, and inner defence of the main ports.

To ensure effective interception and timely response, sea survaillence through air is being enhnaced with the inuction of Orions and AEW/AWACS in south.

Currently, PN does not have enough surface assets to mount hunter/killer ASW patrols.

The Mirage/JFT is or will be used as a strategic interdiction asset armed with possibly ALCM against IN carrier groups.

PN can not afford dedicated AA Escorts or for that matter ASW escorts. It has to rely on multimission platforms when it comes ot large surface vessels of frigate or anything larger than that.

But we should have a bigger and potent SSKs fleet like 11++ of them.
11 Frigates (4F-22Ps+ 3 Type-54Bs+ 4 Type-54Cs)
7 Corvettes (3 phase I + 4 phase II)
11 FACs till 2020
