3G/4G Users in Pakistan Reach 35.5 Million

The number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan reached 35.45 million at the end of October 2016, official documents of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) available with ProPakistani revealed.

Mobile phone users in Pakistan reached 134.91 million by end October 2016, up from 134.41 million a month ago at the end of September 2016, registering an increase of around 0.5 million cellular subscribers during the period.

The documents further revealed that Ufone 3G subscribers decreased from 5,297,543 in September to 5,245,299 by end October 2016.

According to the PTA data, the number of 3G subscribes of Mobilink, Zong, and Telenor reached 11.78 million, 6.68 million and 9.24 million respectively by end October 2016 against 10.955 million, 6.66 million and 9.11 million by end September.

Warid LTE subscribers reached 599785 by end October against 577275 during this period.

The number of 4G (Zong) users jumped from 1,713,900 subscribers in September 2016 to 1,903,285 subscribers by end October 2016.

Mobile teledensity reached 69.22 per cent and Broadband subscribers increased to 35,446,843 during the period under review.

Almost in every category except 4G, Mobilink is outperforming others while its new acquisition Warid is still far behind, though I myself prefer Warid for quality service. Surprising to see Ufone is getting a dip, may be mainly because their advertisement team has not come up with something new since quite long.

Zong 3G sucks balls & their LTE band doesn't support many famous brands like LG G2. Atleast my Ls980 doesn't support Zong's LTE band 1800

Yeah there is some zong 3G coverage issue in my city. Though it works midnight to 9AM but after that it runs like a turtle. I thought my phone is misbehaving but tried 5 different smartphones of different brands with same issue.

Yaar PTCL have gone shit too in both speed & prices. It is now more costly than wingle devices. Fuckers secretly charged me 2500 rupees for re-activating the Broadband on first billing.

Btw Zong is the cheapest in data charges compared to every other network out there. I'm subscribed to a 2GB weekly package at 100/- rupees + 20 rupees tax. You have to recharge atleast 160 rupees to avail it. Fuckin government. There is also a 10 rupees per GB day time Internet package & nightly 6 rupees per GB. Other networks have very costly data plans so that is why i'm not jumping to other network.

I have 4mb unlimited ptcl in my house and i pay roughly 2900 per month for internet+smart tv and azadi phone package its roughly 2500 per month for Naya Tel which is way better than PTCL but has costly first time installation because of fiber optic usage
My friend has it and i confirmed a super iteresting fact about it that naya tel actually is faster on prime hours
Its slow in office hours but even in office hours as compared to PTCL its still faster
I think they offer 9 mb,s and 300 channels(some are hd) for 2500 per month
