37 brigadiers promoted to major general rank
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces' public relations wing, on Thursday announced the elevation of 37 brigadiers to the major general rank.
The promotions were decided in a meeting of the Army's promotion board, held at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi, with Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa presiding over the proceedings.
Of the brigadiers promoted, nine belong to the Army Medical Corps, the ISPR said in a tweet.
