You better build them quick. Consider the speed the rupee is falling, by 2017 each post will cost 3 quadrillion rupees (rounded) since the Indians can even make a decent nail and has to be imported.

You know how many university graduates goes into the PLA. You know the education a common PLA soldier would have.

Not only do we have better fighters, tanks and what not, we also have more. And no you don't, India equipment wise is not better than Japan or England.

Education for soldiers matters most in officers,NCOs and staff-and all indian army officers and NCOs are very well educated from academies.For the ground soldiers courage,morale,hardiness,etc matter more not paper pushing skills.

No u don't have better fighters.Our MKI is still superior.
The tanks are of little value in the himalayan background.And in any case ur 'better' tank type-99 has flawed turret.T-90 can take on any PLA tank.
As for having more ,ur numbers are negated by our geography.Mountains limit ur armies offensive ability.High altitude ops handicap ur air force.
Malacca dilemma and andaman strangle ur navy.Sweet dreams.

China can increase its posts it it thinks its required for its safety..

But bottomline remains, it is not the number of posts which lead to a war..

If the two countries have good relations, even 10,000 border posts will not result in war... but if relations go down then even if there is 5 border posts there will be war.

So instead of thinking about border posts, India and China need to continue to improve the relations.

I look forward to the joint military exercises in Nov... should be good for us both!!
