I am watching on TV .... no enthusiasm just like a political speech with everyone looking bored and look like they are forced to sit there.....
Compare that to IK gathering and one can see the difference like a day and night.

The Imran Khan Jalsa was indeed overflowing with enthusiasm. Young and Old were gushing with energy. Even the one or two protesters way up in the upper deck were escorted out with dignity and respect. The crowd felt like one big family gathering or the same feeling as an Eid Namaz. (I was in the middle on the floor, second set of seats; got in early ) Even the Staff that worked the stadium, once it was explained to them what Imran Khan was speaking about said they loved him (White and Black workers); because he spoke about spending money on the people, fighting corruption, and equality. In a sense, The Jalsa speech by Imran Khan was the personification of the values of the Pakistani-American Community. We felt vindicated if anyone had any doubt as to what Pakistani-American beliefs are.

BTW back to the topic of effective means of Countering Modi it would be a BDS type Movement. If the counter protests was made up of people from so many backgrounds it will help to make it easier to ask them all to BDS India.

FYI, Indian Muslims were present in very large numbers as I had predicted yesterday with Indian flags and took part in the protest. I ll see if I can post their pictures carrying the Indian flag yet standing up for the oppressed Kashmiris.
2nd video has footage from the protest showing all the people who attended.
We got there @ 9am and stayed till 1 pm. People come and went through this time
so it was indeed a very large crowd. Our Masjid alone( run by omer Suleiman,a arab descent sheikh) send 4 busses and 300 attendees in total.
Overall the protest side of the stadium had dozens of busses.
Pakistani businessmen booked the entire crown plaza hotel next to the stadium as well.
The Houston Police chief and deputy chief came on camera and spoke to Muslims and other protesters & thanked them for keeping the peace as well.
Sikhs from Houston gurdwaras were amazing and arranged so many services & facilities for us.
As I had mentioned earlier, us Muslims have made it a Muslim issue and we do not care if the rulers of selfish Muslims wanna play diplomacy. Muslims bhaichahra is alive an kicking.

All of this is consistent with Modi's far-right Hindu nationalist agenda, which seeks to prioritize the rights of Hindus and diminish the rights of others. Modi and his ruling party have incited hate, violence and discrimination against religious minorities and marginalized people across India, including Dalits, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians.

This strategy should sound familiar, because Hindu nationalism is similar to another form of hate that we have long been confronting here in the United States: white supremacy. White supremacists in this country wish to exclude Black, Native, Muslim, and non-white immigrant communities from the United States. President Trump's rhetoric and policies, from the border wall to the Muslim ban, are rooted in white supremacist ideology.

That is why we must oppose Modi and Trump and reject both Hindu nationalism and white supremacy. Indian Americans, in particular, cannot on the one hand protest the family separation policy and the Muslim ban under the Trump administration, while supporting the Modi government's anti-Muslim, or anti-Dalit rhetoric in India. Indeed, the "Howdy Modi" event has reaffirmed the hypocrisy in my own community. If we were truly committed to acceptance and liberation, then we could not possibly celebrate a leader who supports Islamophobia and caste apartheid.

I'm coming of age at a time when fascism and ethnonationalism are on the rise across the world. Trump and Modi are two sides of the same coin -- they're both authoritarian leaders who intimidate and exclude marginalized communities, chill the free press, and champion fake news and propaganda to whitewash their atrocities.

Reason 1: Indian MFA is not granting any visas to Pak patients('cause that goes against the BJP govt. anti Pak rhetoric).
