300 pakistan army soldiers killed in ceasefire violations by india since 2003

. .
A lot has happened and is happening in Indian Kashmir which is neither in India's control nor Pakistan's and that is the local population taking ownership of their own destiny and agitating accordingly. Talking tough with a "don't care" attitude is fine for forums like this where the idea is to one-up the other side but isn't representative of the situation on the ground.

The reality is that lives are being lost on both sides on a daily basis, its not our place to show off with this "don't care", "do whatever you can do" type of an attitude. Kashmiris have a gripe, Pakistan is not actively abetting at the levels of the past. Indian crackdown isn't making much progress and both sides are paying with lots of lives. For the keyboard cheetay or sher with the "not an inch" attitude, talks between the two sides to discuss Kashmir is not a bad idea. Some give and take is also not a bad idea.

The # of dead soldiers is not the surprise (20 or so troops per year in all incidents including firing). It is the number of civilians on both sides that should worry people.

Both abdul and wasim have every right that is why you are here and discussing this.

What is the connection between their having every right (according to you) and why you are here and discussing this?

Fully reported, vs. almost fully concealed untruths. Reporting false facts cannot reduce pain.
plz prove my facts wrong.
our general gave the figure.
your news paper used to find the years.

Majority decide fate and future of the land.

Everywhere
and majority boycotted your elections.
majority comes out on street despite the chances of being killed or blinded.

This is actually an insult for armies of both countries, Pakistan and India.

The numbers don't matter because whether you kill 1 or kill 100 soldiers, the violations don't stop, which means neither country can protect its troops. Its an open killing ground. Its probably shame to India more than pakistan, because the second largest standing army cannot protect its soldiers from the sixth largest standing army in the world, a smaller Army, but then again why am i mentioning statistics.

When Indians shout on PDF about USA drone attacks on Pakistan causing damage to Pakistan's infrastructure and causing collateral deaths, raising issue of sovereignty of Pakistan at stake, why do they forget that Pakistan is also capable of doing the same to India and it does so effectively in retaliation to Indian fire on LOC. And Indian Army cannot do anything about but sit in bunkers or strike with artillery again and the cycle continues. How is the sovereignty of India not breached in this case? It definitely is.
This cannot be called even a war of attrition, 21 soldiers killed in a year. The recruited quantity every year is way much more than figure, even with the amount of soldiers retiring that year. And this doesn't end here, there is Siachen sector also, where non-combat deaths occur more than combat deaths.

Its a shame that there is no solution to it. India doesn't come on the table nor attacks openly militarily on pakistan and end this charade, where as the news of Surgical strike made headlines but even the so-called surgical strike cannot end this catastrophe on LOC.

A great post. Thanks and respect. I don't agree entirely, needless to say, and you can probably guess where and why I don't; but honest points made with dispassionate calm, and thought-provoking.
