There are ALWAYS physical evidences of such successes, especially with the quantity claimed. A cruise missile is essentially an aircraft and we have yet to see an aircraft literally turned to vapor after a missile hit.

The bulk of any ground-air missile is the fuel containment system. The exploding warhead is more for proximity fusing purposes, which means it is usually just large enough to produce damages on the target and not to totally destroy it. It is the fuel quantity that gives the impression of bulk on any ground-air missile.

The cruise missiles' arrival would have been at different times and possibly from different directions. That means there should be debris over a wider area since it is unlikely that any cruise missile would be totally vaporized.
