Taliban denied responsibility. Im telling ya this blast stinks of either alqaeda or ISIS. Last year an attack took place in kabul where a maternity center was targated in which newborns, pregnant women were martyred, nobody took responsibility of that attack but US think ISIS was behind it, others thinks the same. This is the same kind of attack. Who the **** targates girls schools.
Remember there are 3 organizations who will targate schools, mosques, churches, Temples, public/picnic areas etc etc and they are TTP, AlQaeda and ISIS. All of these have same ideology. Some 2 weeks ago an AlQaeda attacker was going to blow up a mosque during prayer in afg, thankfully the device blew before he could reach the mosque. These 3 organizations are menace and should be crushed under feet.

You can send a message by killing less people no need to do this kind of carnage.

Could be the “large scale atrocity” or part of a series of such attacks to build up a narrative (especially against school girls from an ethnic minority background) that they were hinting at to get sanctions on the Taliban and/or Pakistan in that Rubin article; A possible false flag to keep foreigners in Afghanistan or at least their money and contractors. The Pakistani government has taken action in the past (to what extend in most cases; I can’t find the news articles to prove either way) but I agree, not at all nearly enough. the fact that it keeps happening shows that this needs to be a dedicated effort of the government.

The Talibs have supposedly been working with Iranians lately and even have at least one hazara commander. This should indicate at the very least come kind of detente with the Shia/Hazara community. Some or many in their organization may still hold bigoted views, but currently they may have been ordered not to act upon it for practical strategic reasons, or it maybe a genuine shift in the organization. Similar to their refrain from targeting foreigners, it is presumably currently not in their interest to target Hazaras.
