3-year-old girl among two martyred in Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Two civilians, including a three-year-old girl, were martyred and three others wounded when Indian troops resorted to firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday, ARY News reported.

Abdul Jalil, 45, and Nosheen, 3, were martyred as a result of unprovoked firing by Indian forces in the Nekrun Sector along the LoC, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.

“Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in the Nekrun Sector along the LoC, deliberately targeting civilians,” it said. “Three citizens also got injured while three houses got burnt.”

Indian troops’ frequent breach of ceasefire along the LoC has resulted in some 37 civilian casualties and injuries to over 150 this year.

Bajwa took charge in 2016 from Gen. Shareef. Check the shelling and mortar fire by Indian forces on civilians since thsn it has multiplied and mostly PAkistani civilians are dying alongwith Pak Jawans. Gen. Bajwa has not done anything to hit the Indians back.

Stop repeating the same rant again & again. We are not Hindutva Nazis that will go and kill civilians. In-fact Pakistan Army believes in higher professional conduct and thankfully, you aren't the one leading by chance. Pakistan Army will keep hitting enemy in retaliation but there is no way to target any civilian or those, who does not attack us. Let's not the emotion drive you wrong and take over sanity.

I wonder what the 3-year-old has done is covered by Islamic Teachings.

For that matter, which is not the subject here, search Islamic literature and read the detailed definition of Martyr in Islam. Also, do not take anything in isolated manner but must hold a proper search & detailed read.

This is just a suggestion. I am NOT an expert on LOC matters.

Pakistan should create a telly board of some sort. Where they they vow to kill and then target a certain number of indian soldiers for every Kashmiri killed. Say 2 indian soldiers for every civilian killed. That may not possbile for Pakistan right now or even safe. I am not an expert on LOC.

But might lead to development of improved targeting abilities.

When we become determine to get something done, we often self organize at a higher level of functioning which then leads to superior abilities to carry out those task which were previously hard or impossible

For example may be it will lead multi-drone based acoustic arrays sensor flying at safe distance (sensors are avialable off the shelves) that can pin point who is shooting and from where. or combining them with infa-red, radar, LADAR, or visual sensors. Sensors are easy.

Development sensor fusion algorithms will require time and commitment, that are suitable for dense LOC environment. Pakistan has world class experts now on relevant sensor fusion algorithms technologies such as people with expertise in Bayesian filtering, dempster shafer or other information representation and reasoning based approaches (fuzzy sets, rough sets etc.) and so on.

It does not matter what particular solution they work on or not. What matters is that this kind of determination to make LOC a living hell for india with NEW solutions will lead to increased losses for indian army and demonstration of military supremacy over them.

I am NOT at all implying that they are not doing everything they can. But may be out of box thinking with consultations with Chinese experts as how to cause progressively higher degree of damage to Indian forces with each passage of time, may lead india in rethinking LOC shelling.
