I've not read much about the incidents in 84, and yeah just as any sane human I too want the perpetrators of anti-Sikh riots to be punished. But Khalistanis did bomb INA Kaniska, didn't they?

Also I'm bit sceptical about any movement which finds it's strength in religion, be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Sikh for that matter.

As a Keralite all I know about Punjab is that its one of the prosperous states (1st or 2nd ?) and the bread basket of India supplying much of India's wheat. Punjabis are brave, strong and industrious. I never heard anything bad about Punjab so your post comes as a shocker.

Why do you think Punjabis became drug addicts and alcoholics. Is it because of social unrest or they don't have nothing good to do. As far as alcohol consumption is considered Kerala has the highest per capita alcohol consumption in the country and we are in no mood to give it up

Every medical shop sells banned medicine/drugs.. With this pace, in next 10-15 years, genetically 80% of Punjabi boys will be infected and the most shocking is the the pace at which boys in Punjab are failing to reproduce.. The best way to destroy a community is to make their young's addicted to drugs.. everything else will happen automatically. Soon brave Punjabi.. hard Punjabi will be a history... very soon..

It seems you have a social and administrative problem. If you smoke a cigarette, do drugs or consume alcohol and become addicted to it you have only yourself to blame...You cannot blame the outsiders for it.

4) tiers are put around sikhs and they are burned alive.

And that happened in their own country.......the country for which they faught...............

Listen boy I am not talking about cigarette, did i??? I am talking about Smack and banned medical drugs... Do not try to alter my words.. Isn't Smack and Schedule-H drugs banned by law?? Now is this social problem or legal???

Edit: What social system can do when Police takes "hafta" for allowing to sell drugs and drugs are being supplied from border with the help of politician's own bus transports?

Sorry for jumping into the convo as its purely about you guys, No offense but i think what happened back in 84 with sikhs in india has left a great mark on every sikh no matter where he lives.

Incidently i happened to watch a show regarding the lives of Sikhs after the partition , there were 2-3 sikhs in that show from both Pakistan and inida and they were asked to honestly answer about where they wanted to live after partition whether in Pakistani Punjab or indian Punjab and what they think about their life now, one living in indian punjab and one Pakistani Punjab.

The answer from Pakistani sikh was "When partition happened we wanted to go to indian Punjab because we have much of sikh community there ,but we were not able to go there, we wished we could have moved but after the 84 incident , we are quite happy that we were not moved to india , the extent to which we got love here in Pakistan is just amazing, everywhere we go people respect us and love us ....................."

It was not to say that who are living better life or not it was just that i wanted to share that incident which really made me happy.
