250MW deal not signed: BD says "NO" to India's unilateral conditions

. .
I don't know if you read this news a few months ago, but india owes Iran $5 Billion in debt on gas purchase but refuses to make the payment upon request by the US. Iran had stopped supplying any further NG to india. It's a little unfair, no?

It seems you lost your ability of comprehension, go read the news again. Anyway iranians didn't think it's unfair, bangladeshi opinion doesn't matter.

. .
Err..I was updating your ignorance!

Ignorance? No. I clearly mentioned I read that news a few months ago, didn't I, sir? Back then india did withhold all payment. Haven't updated myself on it since then.

They did think it's unfair, and that's why they suspended O&G supply to india back then. But it's all good now that it's solved after a while. Just like GoI is delaying signing of a fair Teesta treaty due to internal confusion.

@Apocalypse: You sud always make sure you understand the subject well before commenting on Iran India payment deal...India was not responsible for Iran to be banned by the UN nor India was responsible for the mess in Financial transaction that Iran has incurred upon itself due to the sanction in the country....The issue was not because Indian can not pay the money rather it was due to non availability of mechanism of payment....

Now coming to the topic...BD has the right to decide to approve or reject any deal..There is nothing to make fun about...Iran has asked India to make a payment for IPI gas pipeline irrespective of India revive the product or not...That does not mean that we say to Iran that Iran is trying to cheat India rather India accepted the was Iran do business. So as India does not like the deal so India went out of the negotiation...Similarly we should appreciate the BD gov that they sud take a decision that is suitable to their country...and in similar way GOI has every right to make a deal that suits to India.....

Neat thing done.

Deflect and obfuscate and ride one's favourite hobby horse, knowing fully well that most do not know Bengali and those who do know would believe rather than wade through a whole lot of journalistic jujitsu!

Bangladeshis think they are James Bond in Casino Royale - cleaning up the table of all bets and having it their way all the way! If that is not done, then whine, weep and obfuscate, deflect and spread the vilest of canards and falsehood!

Bidding goodbye to a foreign dignitary i.e. the PM of India makes the Bangladeshi Ministers 'stooges'.

But when a minor fundamentalist Saudi Prince comes riding Bangladeshi roughshod, some posters here bow, scrape and cringe if the second coming has occurred!!

Amusing that these people like stooges rubbish their own heritage and birth and claim Arab descent, when the real Arabs treat them as rubbish and as pretentious usurpers!

Even Pakistanis pour scorn as they have done historically. That they never considered them as equal is so evident where East Pakistan was left underdeveloped and left to rot, nor was the defence of East Pakistan ever thought of seriously given the threat and finally they were not even taken to be fit to rule Pakistan whereby Mujib who won was left out in the cold!

Enough threads out here to indicate the same!

Your consistent reference to ad hominem arguments really reflect your level of intelligence. The fact that you cannot indeed refute a single argument mentioned without reference to religion or culture shows your incapability to debate, which I don't really hold against you since you are an old army personal, who currently has too much free time(unemployed perhaps?). I have seen almost all your arguments in any debate referring to issues which doesn't directly relate and reject article without any reasons which doesn't align your views. You are the literal definition an "intellectual lightweight".
And I have seen more than enough times you bring up our "descendants" just to dehumanize the Bengalis whom you claim have converted from low castes hindus, a claim which you have sourced from a personal letter although credible historians tells a different story.

no problum , NTPC can putup a power plant in WB and BD can buy electricity then..

that's be ok i suppose !!

Classic India style theft! Take your money and run...forget about delivery of service or quality of service at all!
Don't pontificate and don't talk about theft until you get your own house in order first. How about the theft of billions of dollars of American largesse doled out to Pakistan for fighting terror since 2001? Where has most of the money gone? No prizes for guessing.

And till today, more than 50,000 NATO tankers have been stolen by Pakistanis without taking action, except in a couple of cases. The goods worth millions of dollars are sold in open markets including fuel, spares, vegetables and meat meant for the ISAF in Afghanistan.

You comment as though you guys are the paragons of virtue. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

I have no interest in religion or culture (in fact, there is shared culture and so the question does not arise) to make an issue of.

You could do well to have read the posts of various members of the BD group to realise that where the ridiculing of religion starts. And if one gives it back, then the matim from you all commences! Charity begins at home, in case you did not know.

It is immaterial as to what is your opinion of my intellect is or whether I am a 'lightweight' for the simple reason that you are not quipped to comprehend the same and not that it bothers me in the least.

I do make it a point to visit forums to understand the 'thoughts' of not only of my compatriots, but also of those who are foreigners. I do it since such views are important in my line of work as, should I say, a 'commentator' on issues. I daresay you will understand the same and so I will not broach on that issue. Understanding international opinion is a part of what I do know and so, while it may appear to you that I have time on my hand, actually, this is a part of my present occupation and hence I am constrained to spend time here and elsewhere so that I can have a 'rounded' view of issues and not get a partisan view and push it as the Gospel Truth.

You cannot find links to my posts since you do not want to find the links because it does not quite conform to your ideas. That is natural. While you find me an 'intellectual lightweight', may I return the compliment in greater measure, in that you are incapable of being even an 'intellectual lightweight' since you find my posts beyond your comprehension.

As far as 'low caste' is concerned, the major source was a youtube link provided by one of the more virulent BD poster who to deride India and the Hindu caste system appended the same. It was a village meeting that was being addressed by the Water Resources Secretary during the Mujib era, who had come to India for discussion along with Mujib.

Spare me your homilies and pious platitudes!

Even the post you refer to has its relevance and hardly irrelevant given the post to which the answer was designed for.

Each point raised was from some posts or the other by BD posters!

Further on descent etc, why blame me. It is mentioned so proudly by most BD posters and then they confuse others as to why are they not proud to be what they are. And the the confusion get aggrandised with other threads like the one currently on Arabisation!

In Pakistan, they are finding their own identity and yet BD clings to the Arab descent concept with scant regard for being what they are - namely Bangladeshi.

Exactly my thoughts! And I don't think he is an ex-general. His posts are too incoherent and lacks brevity. Besides, retired army generals don't spend so much time on a forum. Judging from some of his past arguments with the IndianArmy guy, he could be a soldier's son because he does seem to know some high officials in the army/gov.

There is no doubt that I am a soldier's son. Proud to be so.

If you feel that I am not a military officer, so be it.

Have you a lien that demands that I have to prove myself to you or anyone else?

As for as having time, I do agree that I make it uncomfortable for falsehoods and daydreams of BD posters to proliferate. Naturally, that should upset you and your compatriots.

Lol. Well aren't you the one always stating your "army seniority", "30+ years of experience" and "all military personnel on earth were my students" sort of stuff in lieu of good counter arguments?

Reminds us of the 10 year old indian kid who supposedly was pursuing MBA in Harvard. His cover was blown so bad by us and the resident Chinese forumers (he was also an object of ridicule for indians themselves) that he never came back. You're heading the same path.
