Most neutral historians agree that the 1965 India-Pakistan war ended in a stalemate; yet, both countries today claim to have delivered a crushing defeat on the other side.

And while the debate over who won the war is likely to never be settled, we can agree that we owe a debt of gratitude to the soldiers who gave their lives protecting our borders.

Here, we look back at the some of the most intriguing pictures from the war that lasted almost 17 days.

It was a war where we defended Pakistan. We didn’t went to win it but defend it. And this is what happened and the enemy has to face worse nightmare. But infact the tank battle was the one we won ,and it was the largest tank battle after world war 2. And similarly Air War was also won by Pakistan according to Neutral claims. Maybe the ground war was just a defense which Pakistan did against Indian infiltration.
