"fighter detection" What fighter? F5, F15, Su27, they're all fighters, and F15 is a much larger aircraft than F16. If you put the RCS into account the gap in the between will be much smaller.LOL, no. The fighter detection of APG-68v(9) is about 95 km. For F-15A its about 120 km range C - more, I even more.
You don't fire missiles in lookdown mode so it doesn't mean crap. I don't wanna comment on EW, we're buying new EW pods and suites with different specs, and these stuff are too open to speculations. In look down mode u should divide the range by 2. When EW employed even further. Welcome to the real world.
lol yes, we all know F14 has radar of a mini-awacs AND the fact that it's not compatible with AIM 120, not to mention the ancient avionics. Back off dude, F14 has nothing on a block 50+ F16.F-14A has 160 km fighter detection. F-14D - more.
yeah, my bad... I read something about that a while ago, crappy memoryNo, F-22 has more thrust.
Clean F-15 has indeed much larger RCS than clean F-16. But When you put missiles, tanks pods on fighter u drastically increase its RCS and they all became close."fighter detection" What fighter? First of all you do fire. Secondly it means a lot. One who detects first has a huge advantage even if he cant fire yet. He can start maneuvering and prepare a nice ambush. You don't fire missiles in lookdown mode so it doesn't mean crap.
In real world (not one in your mind) EW is employed and detection is decreased drastically.I don't wanna comment on EW, we're buying new EW pods and suites with different specs, and these stuff are too open to speculations.
Yes F-14 has monster radar. It was shooting down small aircraft like flies.lol yes, we all know F14 has radar of a mini-awacs AND the fact that it's not compatible with AIM 120, not to mention the ancient avionics. Back off dude, F14 has nothing on a block 50+ F16.
Altitude, speed and maneuver mean a lot.yeah, my bad... I read something about that a while ago, crappy memory
Plain numbers.how come iran is behind Syria and north korea?..
Tnx. U can check my profile. I served as tanker and military is my hobby.@500 dude what do you do? You are very knowledgeable in military stuff.
No one knows for sure, but I think that WAF estimate 26 combat ready F-14 is quite accurate.Where would you rate Iran and how many do you estimate F-14's are combat ready?
Plain numbers.
Iran has 156 jets, Syria - 235, NK - 614. All are equally outdated.

Buddy...We have a former F-15 pilot member on this forum and he flat out said no one want to fight the F-16 in close quarters if they do not have to.F-15 has much more trust/weight ratio and less wing loading. So in acceleration, vertical maneuvering, sustained turn it is going to win.

His Air Force call sign was 'Chogy'. He is now an airline pilot flying a South America route.Who is that, what is his username?
U can say that vice versa too: no one want to fight the F-15 in close quarters if they do not have to.Buddy...We have a former F-15 pilot member on this forum and he flat out said no one want to fight the F-16 in close quarters if they do not have to.

F-16 has its own advantages in dogfight: its much smaller and thus harder to see. It has superb cockpit visibility and excellent roll rate.
