Brother it will take ages this way Problem is political interference in Police and them wanting their people in Police who allow them to do as they please. What I want is Police to be made an Institution on their own like Army in which they induct their own people own them as they climb up the ranks with Training and Exams. Police in Each Province needs to be entirely Restructured similar to Army. Money will not be a problem here we already spend more than enough on internal security to do something like this. I want End of CSS Inductions in Police. This will make it an independent and strong institution. PTI cant change the Mind set of the People Electable will remain in power for the next 2 election before things start changing.

I have been personally effected by this political Interference the Politicians here in my district have made my uncle a punching bag since last year because he arrested relatives of a PTI member here he has been transferred 4 times in last 3 months alone. Institution of Police needs to rebuilt its too rotten to be reformed.

First off, I am sorry about your uncle. In the end, no one can escape the divine justice of god.
secondly, yes there are unacceptable amounts of political intrusions into state institutions, especially the police.
However, this nexus is extremely complex and would also take ages to unravel. Till that time, who knows what the political mindset of the ruling party would be? Perhaps they would also be big into this stuff and the chain continues on and on for decades, as it has been since the 1950s. The biggest enemy of a country is its own traitors and the biggest weapon an enemy can use against you are your children.

This is something I always say.
You are absolutely right about the police being separate like the army however it may also lead to side effects as we see today in america, rapid militarization and autonomy given to the police has turned it rogue therefore we must seek a new solution

To rebuild the police, we must start from scratch and that means new people

In yet another embarrassing development for the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the government’s lawyer has told the Supreme Court (SC) that Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) — a flagship project of the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) government for poverty reduction — was renamed as Ehsaas — a similar and much-boasted-about initiative by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. As per the details, Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Khalid Jawed Khan on Tuesday told the apex court that the data collected by BISP, “which had been renamed as Ehsaas”, was being used by the government to ensure that money reaches the poor amid lockdowns due to the spread of coronavirus. A five-member larger bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed and comprising Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed was hearing the case regarding the closure of hospitals in the country during the global outbreak.

Prime Minister Imran Khan today performed groundbreaking of four development projects for Islamabad.

The projects include Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange, Construction of PWD underpass and Korang Bridge at Islamabad Expressway and Phase One of development works at I-15 Residential Project . These projects will be executed by Capital Development Authority.

Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange is a Traffic Management Solution project that will be completed by CDA through its own financial resources in 24 months.

The Construction of Korang Bridge and PWD Underpass project will also be executed by CDA in 15 and 7 months respectively. The project will be funded through Public Sector Development Program.

The projects are aimed at de-congesting traffic flow in ICT area enabling the residents of the federal capital to commute without any traffic hassle and save the travel time besides making the traffic flow smooth along Islamabad Expressway and link roads to adjoining areas.

Prime Minister Imran Khan emphasized upon ensuring protection of green areas of the Federal Capital during the execution of these development projects.

One thing PTI in my Opinion needs to do is to make an Inquiry Commission about Peshawar BRT and make it public. They need to put those responsible behind bars at any cost. They need to do it now if they do it in the last year of their term it will cost them. Better put it right now.

Pti needs to make Karachi in to a special territory like Islamabad. This will be a good way to improve it and make it in to a role model but obviously PPP and Sindh nationalist parties will protest and threat the government. I remember Bilawal words, "it will threaten the federation of Pakistan" a big hint for the government and big blackmail.

Police, Judiciary, Lawyers reforms is a must. This is the only way a comman person can get justice and to see a change in Pakistan.
I believe the only way is for the PTI government to make a special model court, lawyers office and Model police station. Once people realise this new model gives you corrupt free officers to deal with your investigation, corrupt free lawyers to represent you and corrupt free Judges who give you justice. It will spread like wildfire in Pakistan, yes all Pakistanis will not be able to get justice but those who visit these places will get justice.

In another words make a new special branch of justice system, start from Islamabad and slowly spread it all over Pakistan. This new unit will gradually replace the old corrupt system. The cities where you face resistance, ignore it and move on to the next area, once the public realises, they will change themselves. But a working example is a MUST.

Same policy can be applied for tax reforms. Make a new corruption free tax authority, let this authority take care of all the new tax payers, companies, shops. Then slowly phase the old system out.

People need to remember the powers of the government to push reforms are limited because they are in a coalition and unless they can appease each and every MNA to push them into the majority, nothing can ever pass.

@DESERT FIGHTER yes, Ehsaas Card program is very similar to what BISP was. It actually inherited the database from BISP and kind of merged both programs into one. So its not basically a rename of BISP to Ehsaas program.

Furthermore, a lot of things changed from BISP to Ehsaas program and now it way more transparent and broad in terms of what it offers and how many people / type of needy people it covers under its umbrella.

So saying that its just a renamed BISP is not correct.

If all of this is true why moan and whine about 18th amendment every other day?

Karachits voted to PTI in order to get rid of PPP & MQM political gangster & crimnals, to get rid of water crises etc. But what we observed is totally disappointing.

The recent example of uzair baloch JIT disappointed us to the great extent in which political crimnals of PPP are excluded in JIT report.
Karachits will always be treated as step sons of Pakistan no matter who is in federation. The fact is Karachi is Lawaris and will remain lawaris.

Maybe in a future government, PTI can get a coalition government with PPP or PMLN and IK can be a foreign minister, and PTI faithful can plant trees. That's pretty much PTI so far - foreign policy and planting trees. You don't need to be PM to do this.
