What's new

2014 World GDP Rank: 1 U.S, 2 PRC, 3 Japan

Based on Pew Research, as a society, actually Iran is far below other Muslim countries in term of religious commitment. Recent data has already excluded Iran, but in older data ( about 1-2 years older), it shows that in Iran, only 40 % Muslim pray five time daily, in comparison, in Indonesia it is around 72 percent of Muslim.

You are not a Muslim as you have said before, are you.....?

Some years back, you were still below Japan, and now the figure is tripling
Iran is perhaps the most industrial in all Muslin-dominated countries. For this part, I respect her.

These studies are overrated , when you approach every persian girl you find interesting on the streets then your results are not gonna reflect the reality of the matter , only a handful of persian girls in tehran are like that , who are getting exported one by one

Since 2010 China over Japan GDP ... recet Five years rapid development, we can feel it inside China, also including salary rise up, except foreign luxury goods mass production of 'Made in China' sell with a cheap price in China market.

At least Chinese PPP is high.

i would take my bet for the Turkey, they are far more heavily industrialized than Iran, though by nominal of manufacturing output Indonesia beat the Turks with great margin, but i feel no proud since Indonesian population is three times larger than the Turks.

We all respect Iran. I just said that there is a gap between their leaders and their society. Using hijab is an obligated thing in Iran. And based on World Bank data as you have posted earlier and in other thread as well. It is Indonesia which is the most industrialized country in the Muslim World

Do you have data on China service sector and compared it with your manufacturing sector mate.........? I hope you can create thread about that, and please tag me on that thread if you want to make one.

For Indonesia case we have some trade deficit in service sector, need more companies to enter service sector to protect our currency.

I really have doubt of that China's PPP surpassing US thing. Even the nominal GDP surpasses US, nothing to be proud of. Next goal, GDP per capita.
Well ... the GDP per capita by USD, Chinese still lower ... but u see, China RMB still has the strong purchasing power. Why BeiJing wanna build the AIIB ? RMB has a chance to become a global currency via AIIB like USD via IMF, World Bank.

Well ... seriously, im not good at the economy, but i can try to search the data of China manufacturing sector.

Now in China the manufacturing sector is the 1st biggest, service sector is the smallest but P.M Li's government try to improve our service business ... so next years i think China will fouse on developing service sector inside China.

Where is the wannabe economic and military powerhouse of Asia? Vietnam i mean
sister, you are too obsessed with vietnam.

If you want to ask me about it. first, the GDP number is very questionable. everyone can cook and manipulate the numbers as they please. you can pay $100 to someone who digs a hole and 100$ to another guy to undo the work of the first guy. what is your GDP? yes, correct, your GDP increases by $200. you feel richer, right?

second, if you want to look things behind the numbers, then you may read the country´s domestic consumption, export/import, standard of living, expectation of life, healthcare, education, public transport, strength of the army, etc...

it is useless to feel rich in countries such as greece and venezuela, if most of the people don´t have enough to eat.

yes, thanks to our backwardness, we enjoy very low to zero import taxes when exporting our products to europe and elsewhere. soon vietnam products will replace one and one chinese as soon as the free trade agreements with europe and america are signed.. besides, we get ODA and low interest loans and oven non-refund money, because we are poor.

what should I complain?

:o:
The Indian patriots on this forum will crucify you for this kind of comment. Perhaps you should join their refrain: "Nominal GDP is bullshit, only PPP matters"?

BS we are behind UK & every Indian knows this & is working towards suprising it
On topic
After seeing the value added manufactring chart by @AndrewJin
Whatever pride I had in our manufactring is fine we need to work very hard
