Turkey being a guarantor for the Turkish Cypriots had the right to act. Besides from some condemnation, the U.S senate imposed a guns embargo between 1975 and 1978. The heroic act from Libya's side must be told(other arab countries helped too). They gave ammunition, 2,75 - 5 inch rockets and other military stuff free of charge to Turkey. When the soldiers were asked "didn't they ask something from you?", then airforce pilot Mehmet Senturk told; "No, they didn't ask anything back from us". A really touching story.. The U.S.A being Turkey biggest ally? My ***..

...and years later Turkey because of traitor AKP decided to betray Kaddafi.

it was never allowed since the recreature of TAF after 1923. But if your in a operational deployement or if your in a battle, COs&NCOs don't give a crap about your face nor your haircut as long as you do the right thing during the fight.
