Officials: American killed in Afghanistan attack - CNN.com
(CNN) -- An attacker wearing an Afghan military uniform opened fire at a training facility in Kabul on Tuesday, killing one American and wounding at least 15 coalition troops, including other Americans, U.S. officials told CNN's Jim Sciutto.
Earlier the German military said one person was killed and 14 were injured. One of those wounded was a German brigadier general. The German military said the incident occurred during a "key leader" event.
The Afghan Defense Ministry said the shooter, described as a "terrorist," was shot dead by Afghan soldiers.
NATO's International Security Assistance Force said the incident took place between local Afghan and ISAF troops at Camp Qargha.
In the past, people dressed as Afghan security forces have attacked coalition forces who have worked to thwart such violence.
