At least two Pakistani soldiers have been killed in a roadside bomb blast in S Waziristan.
At least two security forces have been killed and two others injured in a roadside bomb blast in South Waziristan agency in Pakistan's restive northwest.
Pakistan's officials told Press TV that a vehicle of security men was patrolling in Badar area in South Waziristan when it hit a roadside bomb on late Thursday.
Security forces cordoned off the area and shifted the injured security men to a local hospital.
In another incident, at least five security men were injured in a remote-controlled bomb blast in Khyber agency, another tribal area in the northwest of Pakistan.
Two soldiers were also injured when they tried to defuse another planted bomb in the same area.
The Pakistani army began in March military operations in the northwest of the country.
The bombing shows that militants are still active in the region despite army offensives aimed at eliminating their hideouts.
A new wave of violence has undermined security in the country. Nearly 4,000 people have been killed in militant attacks throughout Pakistan since July 2007.
