So the ceremony was not welcoming anyone? Was it the opening of the palace as a museum?
@Combat-Master
Do you see Brits wearing medieval armor ? no. what they wear is the last stop of their historical evolution, thats what I'm talking about, if its gonna be historical then it should be from near history, just like the example I gave. Why people thinks it would be cool to wear Janissary clothes ? it would look ridiculıus, think about Persian guards wearing pajamas, things are evolved for a reason.
I didn't knew you were Turkish btw, why don't you put flags on.

I went to Williamsburg in the united States. Basically what they have in the historical part of the town are reenactors. For example I was walking and there were two ladies wearing old style clothes sitting on a bench reading a book loudly. They also have fake blacksmiths and soldiers walking around.Janissary clothes/Ottoman armor can be worn by some entertainers around Topkapı, would attract tourists.
Thanks for explaining1st post of this thread is about our Presidency... That mounted troops and other mounted troops located at Topkapı Palace is different... These are 2 different events...
In 1st post President Berzins of Latvia welcomed by our President...
Other troops are for Topkapı Palace...
Costumes are sh.t, a more traditional and unique costume would be better, like late Ottoman/early Republic Kalpaks
