Michelle Obama Saudi National Boston Marathon Bombing Victims: First Lady Visits Two Injured from Attacks in Boston

First Lady Michelle Obama reportedly visited two Saudi Arabian nationals who were injured in the Boston Marathon bombings in the hospital to check on their health, according to TheBlaze, citing Saudi Arabian news website Okaz.com.

One of the two Saudi Arabian nationals that Mrs. Obama visited on Thursday was previously considered to be a person of interest during the aftermath of the bombings and was considered for deportation, sources told TheBlaze.


The names of the two Saudi Arabian Nationals are Abdul Rahman Ali Isa al-Salmi al-Harbi and Noura Khaled Saleh al-Ajaji. Both were injured in the legs by flying glass fragments from the nearby Colby glasses store.
The visits were closed to the media and scheduled with little advance notice due to security reasons, according to TheBlaze.

The nature of their nationality brought attention from the media because very early reports by news outlets claimed that authorities arrested a Saudi national as a suspect for the bombing. However those claims came out to be false as police denied any arrest at the time.

In a statement to the public Friday night after the capture of the second bomber suspect, President Obama said that the country will deploy all necessary resources to collect intelligence an determine if the suspects had any associations with terrorist organizations and find out what motivated them to carry out the bloody attacks.

"One thing we do know is that whatever hateful agenda drove these men to such heinous acts will not -- cannot -- prevail. Whatever they thought they could ultimately achieve, they've already failed. They failed because the people of Boston refused to be intimidated," Obama said Friday night.

"They failed because, as Americans, we refused to be terrorized. They failed because we will not waver from the character and the compassion and the values that define us as a country. Nor will we break the bonds that hold us together as Americans," he added.

MANY people, including Americans and other nationalities, were injured in the Boston blasts. Among them was a young Saudi who happened to be at the scene of explosions.

The American media ignored all other nationalities and singled out the young Saudi using him as a pretext to attack all Arabs and Muslims. The concerned American authorities said the man had nothing to do with the incident and he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There is no end to the suspicions and accusations against Arabs and Muslims. Less than a year ago, a plane took off from an Arab airport on its way to New York via Frankfurt. The moment the plane touched down in Frankfurt, it was surrounded by tanks, armored vehicles, civil defense equipment and security vans. The security men climbed to the aircraft and dragged out a 28-year-old Arab from among his family members. He was soon let off with an apology.

Two years ago the American authorities redirected a flight from Minneapolis to Grand Forks to land at Fargo Hector Airport after its crew found out that there were three Arab passengers aboard. The three Arabs were later released after the American officials became certain they were innocent and there was nothing to prove against them.

The Boston incident revived suspicions about the large number of Arabs living in the United States. These accusations bring to mind the witch-hunt against all Arabs after the 9/11 attacks. Though 12 years have passed since that incident, doubts still linger about the entire episode. There are more secrets yet to be uncovered.

Yes, there are terrorists and extremists who are Muslim. We are fighting against the evil of these people in our own societies. However, such types of people exist in every society and are not confined to Muslim societies alone. It is obvious that the Muslims are being clearly targeted. They are always being used as scapegoats for any disaster that happens anywhere in the world. There are people who have been trying for many years to defame Arabs and Muslims and portray all of them as terrorists. These people will rack their brains to link an Arab or Muslim to any act of terrorism anywhere on the globe.

She probably visited more victims than just the two Saudi nationals as other members stated.

The main reason might be the fact that the American media was quick to blame it on a innocent Saudi national who was actually a victim rather than the perpetrator. It is a good gesture and that's the last thing that she could do as a representative of the American government (I know that she has no formal role but she is after all the wife of the President).

Haha. I am not sure about that one. I studied for 1 year in the USA and never experienced anything negative nor did any of the countless of other fellow Arab and Muslim students.

I think those types are mostly found on the internet for obvious reasons or in the Deep South.
