1967 : Wondering why Israeli army vehicles seem decorated with Pakistan's flags?

Star and crescent was introduced by the ottomons ------- their ethno-cultural back ground check is necessary while Islam has got nothing to do with symbols . Out Prophet Saww like Prophet David has only Lord Almighty and not any segile/signs.
there is no such thing as an "Islamic symbol" as a part of the Islamic faith, it is far FAR FAR above any type of a physical symbol to identify itself. however, there isn't anything haram about voluntarily picking up on a symbol that characterizes the religious practices so as long as there isn't any shirk or kufar involved. the crescent star is NOT an ethno-cultural symbol. It was adopted by the ottomans after considering constantinople if I'm not mistaken and the reason was to show the world of solar calendar following christiandom they their center was now under the rule of the lunar calendar following Ottomans that follow christiandom's arch rival Islam...there its nothing ethnic or cultural about the crescent and star.

Brother you know why do Christians call us pagans ? Because of these symbols . There papacy may know that we aren't but they won't tell this to their followers. Majority of us isn't even familiar with The Quran then how come we be in touch with what came BEFORE?

Brother do tell me what caused Abraham Pbuh to be thrown into fire? what caused his exile from the city?
Can you plz recall His monologue in The Quran about i believe Sirius star but not sure, moon and sun ?

Star/pentagram , which is also widely used in scorcery, and crescent is anything but Islamic when there's nothing in the scriptures that make it mandatory to adopt memes instead Quranic verses on flags like NasruminAllah va fathun qareeb -------.

bro your thinking far too deeply into it. using the logic, trees, birds and even mountains are used to symbolize divinity of the said objects. We can't let pagans dictate what we can and cannot use on our flags. ksA's flag has a sword under the kalimah. we'll guess what, hindu devi durga also holds a sword. We should remove the sword of the ksA's flag because of the pagan devi durga now? come on man...not how its gonna work.

The moon, the lunar calendar and everything derived from it is central to our religious practices ranging from deciding the next day to night prayers to beginning of Ramadan to when start fast to when to break fast to when to go to hajj, etc. Hence, nothing wrong with using it as a symbol of an Islamic empire or nation.

Did any Prophet anywhere at any time used a meme or a symbol to preach ? Plz tell me what symbol was painted on The Prophet Muhammad Saww flag?

. . . it could be that Israeli forces these flags to confused the enemies, in order to give them impression of a friendly reinforcements ? . . .
This is plausible that they may have used them for deception.

. . .So Israel used Pakistani flag, a non-arab country sitting far away, and could not use Egyptian Flag or Saudi Flag, or Jordanian, or any other Arab country flag???. . .
Make sense, but it's also possible that Arabs were holding Pakistan at higher degree of respect in those days if Pakistani pilots were flying their planes etc! And Israelis may have used that to avoid being fired upon by Arabs! by placing Pakistan flags on their vehicles.

. . .its a captured trophy. . .
Doesn't it seem little weird for Arabs to decorate a vehicle in war zone with jhandiyaan ! that too of a nation (Pak) that was not overtly involved.

Around 15:32 minutes into the documentary "Modern Warfare: Six Day War - Third Arab-Israeli War", looks like Israeli vehicle is decorated with Pakistani looking flags (jhandiyaan).

View attachment 811401

Online search for the flags with crescent and star seems to show a narrow white stripe on one end only on Pakistani flag.

Was a Pakistani-looking flag ever used by Israelis?
Or could it be that documentary maker used some footage that is not Israeli?
Or could it be that Arab vehicle captured by Israelis had Pakistani jhandiyaan on it?
Or is there some other explanation?
This muchharr dude looks like a punjabi and clearly not an Israeli so its a case of mistakenly putting clip from either 65 or 71 war.
