150th JF-17 Rolls out of PAC

.
According to Janes defence, Malaysia airforce is negotiating JF17 deal with PAC.

Malaysia airforce has ten Mig29N( all grounding), eighteen Su30MKM, and eight F/A-18D. They need cost-effective new fighters in numbers to reinforce their Air Force.

So are you saying we have 120 JFTs at the moment.
A
+/- but if we go by aircraft serial numbers it seems there are 136.
Ahem....Ahem....one of the number participating in Gulf Shield exercise.

if we have 100+ JF than does that means PAF decide to go for 50 more Block 2 ? so far block 3 configuration is not completed ..

250 JF-17s were predicted way back at the infancy of the program so that number seems very likely. Keeping in mind the likelihood of PAF trying to acquire further F-16s down the road with the current fleet staying on through at least 2040 (C/D even through the 2050s), and once the US-Pak relations are back on the mend, it is possible we will maintain a fleet of around 75-100 F-16s with acquisition of further used F-16C/Ds and upgrading them to the block 70 standard after another decade or so of operations. That would still leave a deficit of around a 100 aircraft which would have to be better than both F-16s and JF-17 and that is where project AZM would come into play. Mirages will soldier on till for another decade, giving time for Pakistan to continue with the production and upgrade work on the JF-17s and laying the ground work for the next in-house fighter aircraft.

Assuming we don't ramp up the production of JF-17s to max capacity of 25/yr and stay around producing 16/yr instead in order to fully utilize the remaining life on the Mirages and F-7PGs, that would mean 8 aircraft this year and 16 for the next 9 years, that would be 152 additional JF-17s in addition to the 98 in service now. Any excess capacity could be utilized towards meeting any orders for the export market etc.

I expected 250 planes by 2016 so we some what fell behind in Production
Others predicted 100 Thunder / 100 F16 combination , and that too was not true in end
