150th JF-17 Rolls out of PAC

A self-inflicted strategic blunder by the PAF.

By now, Pakistan would've been rolling out the J-10s in Pakistan in the dozens per year and not created an unnecessary blackhole in the PAF inventory by chasing the one and the only fabled F-16 invention known to PAF.

It demonstrates PAF's inability to adapt to an aircraft other than that's American.

If Pakistan had agreed to have J10A/B , we would have had 36 Units in 2014 and then a follow up order in 2016 For 36 More units to have nice healthy 70+ J10 Fleet

But Pakistani planners figured they will get similar output from JF17 Block III by 2019 and decided to halt a J10 push

In way we can't disagree with how Pakistani Airforce planned was done limited budget can only improve a platform we already have knowledge about

i personally think they agreed for j-31 over j-10B thats a good choice ...well jf-17 is average air fighter they keep developing for transfer of tech

Some websites are carrying this image showing that 150th JF-17 Thunder aircraft has rolled out of PAC. The aircraft in the back ground was part of the dedicated JF-17 formation flypast on Pakistan Day 2018.

Windy boss this have to be false news!
The 100th plane rolled out end 2017 remember? No way we could have made another 50 in first three months of 2018.
Plus check the squadrons that have been equipped with these
Check the block wise production and numbers
150 planes DO NOT ADD UP!! Must be some mistake, some confusion for sure.

@Dazzler @araz @Horus you have any idea? @fatman17
As far as i can see and add the numbers, this is surely some mistake, A confusion!

fake news ... likely no serial number as it was not inducted in squadron yet

2016-2017 - Design Phase completed for JF17 Block III Thunders
2018-2018 - Prtotying first model for Block III (Most likely 1-2 Planes) for first launch
2019-2020 - Likely the first models to roll out for Block III

Typical Development cycle
Design > Prototype Stage > Approval and Serial Production > Testing / Approval and Inductions

Paf squadron comprises of 18 aircrafts typically

So 6 sqdrns makes 108 aircrafts

Typically yes but in the case of JFTs it's actually 20+ with the 2 peshawar based squadrons in excess of 20. They will probably revert to 18 once the project is complete, which still has a few years to go. Block lll, upgrade of block l, JF17B etc.

Hi,

I think that Paf is in talks with multiple buyers and looking at an order in the range of 150 aircraft---.

@MastanKhan Sahib, we both know that you don't specially place an aircraft on a platform inside a PAC facility and place a number in the front for a photo shoot, until and unless some milestone has been achieved. Now what that goal was remains to be seen or should become obvious soon.

Hi,

Indeed it is something unique and something special for them to place a signage in front of the aircraft---.

I mean to say---the sign is there for the world to see---so it must be of some significance---.
