Baramulla attack was a massive failure for the terrorists, they failed to set eve one foot inside the army base.

I heard it was a friendly fire between two groups of security forces.

Of course they are still active. Hizbul, lashkars, Jaish have thousands of jihadis in their ranks. lashkar itself is rumored to have recruited hundreds of thousands of punjabis to jihadism over the years.

No one's under the delusion that one surgical strike (that too at forward launch points of ingress) will wipe out the sprawling and supported jihadi networks of hizbuls, lashkars and Jaish.

Heck, your army, airforce and paramilitary has been attacking terrorist havens in one district of FATA for the last two years and more and have not cleared it completely, so expecting one strike from our end to do that is ridiculous.

Fifteen fidayeen terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba had managed to infiltrate in Jammu and Kashmir from Nowgam sector of LoC after surgical strikes by Indian Army on Lashkar's launching pads in Azad Kashmir, said top Army sources.

Top Army sources have told to India Today that 15 fidayeen militants had been divided in 5 groups, with 3 members in each group.


3 GROUPS STILL AT LARGE ::

One fidayeen group was neutralised by Army in Handwara terror attack on 30 Rashtriya Rifles on October 5. Another group has been holed up in EDI building in Pampore and three more groups are still at large. This vital information was received by armed forces from documents recovered from 3 killed militants in Handwara.

And third layers in on the outskirts of the major cities.

Of the 10 percent which succeed, in bypassing first security layer on the LOC. They are caught in between first and second layer.

Not all areas can be fenced, not all people can be stopped by a fence. The fence is used to make it difficult to cross over, not impossible. If people could be stopped from crossing over, the U.S. would never have illegal immigrants nor would Palestinians have been able to dig under fences to get across.

There is nothing to divert attention from the internal situation in Kashmir. It has mostly quietened down with people having become tired of daily protests. Soon the snows will set in & it will get a lot more quiet. The world has not much time to pay for protesters who get shot clashing with the police when in other parts, there are countless deaths happening on a daily basis.. A single Saudi strike on a marriage party in Yemen killed more than 130, 3 months of clashes in Kashmir & the figure hasn't edged up to three figures. There is nothing to divert from, guys like Hafiz Saeed & Masood Azhar aren't exactly teaching dance classes in Pakistan. The world isn't fooled, regardless of whether you want to be.

It does, if you are a believer , and have been brainwashed into believing, Kafirs are raping and murdering your sisters and brothers and it is your job as a soldier of Islam to help them , and if you die for the cause, you will rewarded with Jannat in the after life.

And for Pakistani deep state, it makes sense , as it keeps major chunk of Indian army tied down in Kashmir, with very few resources from Pakistani side.

Also a successful terrorist attack in Kashmir now and then, keeps Kashmir in the headlines and keeps the conflict on simmer, not letting it dying down completely.
