15,000 Indians applied for Bangladesh's visa in last 2 weeks

The question should be how many of Indian Bengalis visit South India daily for Tourism?

Many....the numbers are huge..

Another BS. Hasina put ban on paper and asked all officials to looked the other way. I have a colleague visited Kolkatta just last month and told me Hilsha from Bangladesh are available more than ever.

BS. BD ilish are not coming, what your friend (if true) has seen are ilish from our rivers. Besides, that move by BD government did more harm to the BD fishermen, the crashing prices of ilish in BD is the proof of it.

You are saying 1 million Bangladeshis have no proper medical facilities anywhere in BD for their afflictions?

I'd venture a guess that in spite of having proper medical facilities in Bangladesh - the healthcare in India provides a better 'bang for the buck'.

Meaning healthcare in India is cheaper and better quality to boot.

Generally because of economies of scale and various other factors - things cost less in India. For now at least.

Religious harmony should be ensured. I think these contacts of hindus between the two counries will help the countries develop a better image of the other. Hindus are well protected in Bangladesh comparitive to Pakistan. Its a sad reality for Pakistanis. Perhaps we can learn from Bengal.

Hmm.....but BD Jamatis would be more interested in religious terrorism, given a chance they would prefer to see those temples destroyed, brick by brick. In fact, majority of Bangladeshis here would oppose you and call it a 'mushrik' (or whatever the term is).

You can never learn, Muslims are better protected in Lucknow compared to the Hindus of BD, but what have you learned from that?

Lol. My own family is from a group of migrants who moved well after 1947 due to severe persecution by your orange chaddi group. Now you are going to dictate to me how "safe" muslims are in Indian occupied parts compared to Bengal or Pakistan. Let your muslim minorities themselves do the talking. i admit that only Pakistani hindus or Bangali Hindus would know about their situation in the country like Muslims in Indian controlled parts would know theirs. Lets not try to be their spokespersons.

The difference between Indians and Pakistanis is a matter of psyche. You guys are incapable of getting down from your moral high horse in the belief that your land is heaven for minorities even though recent violence in Kashmir proves otherwise, a territory you could not integrate even after 60 years. So stop teaching us and work hard to end communalism.

Religious minorities were forced to almost vanish from Pakistan, and sorry to say, in Bangladesh also it is just a matter of time before the vanishing of religious minorities is complete. Compared to that, what percentage of Indian Muslims left for Islamic Pakistan or Bangladesh?

Save Sundarban from Rampal theme

I don't know anything about rampal, but that image shows her (Durga) as the universal mother as how we worship her ...Mother! Truly awesome thanks!! Whatever the cause I support it, we can't have development at the cost of destroying nature!

As I have said before I am not here to defend Pakistan's record of protecting minorities though Bengal's seperation reduced the number of Hindus drastically while the 47 figure of Hindus in Pakistan is inaccurate as all Hindus with the intention of moving had not moved by then. My own family moved from Lucknow far later so there was a trickle of people moving after 47. These are the reasons for the sharp decline in Hindu population in Pakistan. Of course there is severe discrimination too but I would think only Hindus of Pakistan can speak out to tell the truth. I am not their spokesperson like indians like to be for muslims. They will know the real extent of oppression at home.

Muslim are living in India despite persecution because they know Pakistan or Bangladesh is not waiting for them with immediate citizenship and cash unlike India is doing for Hindus.Another point is there is no room for vast Indian muslim either in Pakistan or Bangladesh.A large country like India can easily accommodate maximum 2 crore hindu scattered across Bangladesh,Pakistan and Afghanistan, but neither Pakistan or Bangladesh have capability to welcome 180 million Indian muslim.Did you ever heard Pakistan or Bangladeshi govt. or religious group ever declared Indian muslims are welcome and will make arrangement for living in respective countries? So muslims continue to live India despite insecurity and persecution while Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan cross border at first opportunity comes to them.
