MQM has announced support for PML in elections for Prime Minister post.

So this would mean that MQM wouldn't participate in the elections for oppn leader? If so, then things b/w PTI and PPP are much more even. Sheikh Rasheed, Sherpao, JI and a few others would be supporting PTI, while ANP etc would be rooting for PPP.
@W.11, @hasnain0099, @Tiger Awan...what do you folks think of this alliance? Only limited to voting or can we see some ministries go MQM's way?

But this speaker elections show that It wont be difficult for Pmln to have 2/3 majority in Parliament if they want some amendments ( once Senate elections are conducted )

Got that right, MQM is doing alot of hairy things, they are killing their own people, there is a mass exodus underway in MQM.

PPP has already made offers to MQM for a coalition but the interesting thing is that why MQM has stayed out? This time around PPP doesn't need MQM to claim simple majority. So the bargaining power of MQM is erroded to great extent. Only trading chip they have left is ghirao-jalao in karachi but can they continue it for long without political support, certainly no. I am though worried that PPP may only perform one-sided cleansing while allowing Peoples Aman Committee to exist with its full force. That's where i see the role of the Centre i.e. push for an all out cleansing.

In fact not, look for every positive step like accountability framework they can always approach PTI since if PTI kept opposing any positive development, it would be harmful for her own image. Of course some amendments may have to be modified but it would be perfectly fine. Secondly only certain amendments in constitution require 2/3 majority. PML-N never looked for 2/3 majority, all they wanted was to ensure simple majority so that they don't have to face the blackmailing situation as PPP was.

According to the notification, the portfolio of Health Ministry has been assigned to Dr. Saghir Ahmad, Public Health and Engineering to Adil Siddiqui, Youth Affairs to Faisal Sabazwari, Supply Price and Control to Shoaib Bokhari. Human Rights to Nadia Gabol, Trade and Commerce to Rauf Siddiqui, Information Technology to Raza Haroon, Auqaf to Abdul Hasib, Sports to Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah and Alternate Energy and Atmosphere to Sheikh Muhammad Afzal.

The cash cow, as i said before was shipping and ports and their crown jewel i.e. Governorship both are not returning to MQM. Further add that only 6 ministries would be available to MQM now out of these 10 "significant" ministries. PPP is likely to offer only trash to MQM

but you talked about sindh ministries which is on offer by PPP?

every ministry in federal is a cash cow especially finance

ministry is a responsibility, MQM improved the port activities and it goes to its credit

First thing is Peace. PML-N doesn't and shouldn't directly intervene in Karachi. This is the duty of Sidh Govt after 18th amendment. Whatever will be done in Sindh and Karachi will through Governorship.
