They were fleeing in waves, the Scythians and Parthians first, driven from their homes in Ferghana by the Tocharians, themselves fleeing the Hiung Nu. The Tocharians moved into Ferghana, the Scythians and Parthians moved into Balkh, destroying the last Indo-Greeks, and then down south to Arachosia, ever afterward known as Sakasthan (Seisthan).

The point is that these hybrid kingdoms ruled over Sind, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. There are many scholars who derive the ancestry of the Rajputs and the Gujjars from these migrants.

There is NO recorded history relating to the sub-continent older than 2,400 from now, and that was recorded by foreigners.

Discovery of Mehergarh (7000 BCE to c. 2500 BCE) in the 70s through 80s, is ancient than Harapappa and Mohenjodaro.
