11-Year-old Girl Punished in School for Wearing 'Tilak' on Her Birthday

I don't hate Hindus and I am culturally a Hindu, if that counts. My post is pointed towards Saffron terrorists and the apologists who are nothing but scum of the earth.

You know what you must do to Terrorists ..... you must Kill them

So when are your planing to Kill the Saffron Terrorists ? :coffee:

After all Christians have the distinctions of killing the Maximum number of terrorists in the world. ........... not to mention, christians also have the distinction of identifying maximum number of people as terrorists too. Funny how all you christians think alike.

Don't be too sure of that either.

Our society will tell her that she was wrong and she will hate Hinduism and blame our "superstition" of putting Tilak all her life. Then the "secularist" will jump in and tell her that to find god she really does not need Tilak and the school was right in punishing her :coffee:
Yes, the secular Hindus, who covertly cover up for the Christian bigotry,They are being brainwashed as such by the media and school.
But i do see hope in future though,a lot of ground work is being done by saints and Hindu orgs. Young minds are being imparted Virat Hindu values. That is why you see Christianity actively trying to ape(digest) Hinduism and project itself as native religion of India.

The target it seems has changed from Muslims to Sikhs and back again to Muslims and then to Christians. It is now their turn to be demonized. The kind of demonization of Christians you see on this website (people who curse secularism even though its not properly implemented in said country) was responsible for the Orissa riots.

It is being said that the Christians forcibly convert people which is without doubt giving the Indians enough rights to kill them.

Personally not long ago I wanted to learn from the Indian model of secularism, but perhaps I should look to other countries instead. Indians themselves have failed to build up a secular society where each and every worshipper of each and every religion will be free to do as he pleases. I doubt Christians removed someone from school for wearing a tiluk. Indian women wear it all the time in Canada and the UAE.

The problem I believe is the media bashing of Christians. The next Orissa riots, the ones responsible will solely be the Indian media.

saffron terrorists ??:lol: a term coined by mr. chidambaram in order to defame an immaginary set of extreme hindus, so that his minority vote bank stays intact with him and would vote his party in bulk. BTW, what do u call a muslim terrorist or a christian terrorist then, is it secular minorities??

who are these saffron terrorists?? is it the gal that wore a tilak on her bday ?? or the parents who had mistaken what secularism truely means in this country ??

Land for St Ann’s High School Illegal: HC

HYDERABAD: A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday declared the allotment of 20 acres of land to St Ann’s high school, Secunderabad at Pet Basheerabad in Qutubullapur mandal of Ranga Reddy district by the erstwhile AP government as illegal.

However, the court granted respite to the school by refusing to direct the state government to take back the land.

A division bench comprising chief justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and justice PV Sanjay Kumar was disposing of a public interest litigation by S Malla Reddy, advocate of RR district, challenging the state government’s decision to allot 20 acres of land to the school at a throw away price.

Petitioner’s counsel Gandra Mohan Rao submitted to the court that the Rajasekhara Reddy government had allotted 20 acres of land to St. Ann’s High School at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh per acre as against the recommendation of the CCLA to collect Rs 2 crore per acre in the year 2006 as against the market value of Rs 5 crore per acre.

After hearing the case, the bench found that the government had made the allotment without following the procedure. The court noticed that the authorities have stated in the note file as Rs 77 lakh and Rs 1.40 crore per acre in the area, but the government has made the allotment at the nominal price which is against to the law.

The bench said that though the allotment was illegal it would not be proper for the court to direct the government to take back the land at this stage in the larger interest of the students.

The government had alienated the land to the school vide GO 1217 dated Aug 23, 2006 and the petitioner moved the court in the year 2012, and in the meanwhile the management has constructed the buildings and other infrastructure to run the school.

While disposing of the case, the court directed the authorities to re-determine the value of the land based on the market value prevailing at the time of allotment and to fix the rate and collect the amount from the management at the rate of 9 per cent interest.

My Aunt studied in a Convent, , their Sister(Nun) used to scold them, " why keep so many flowers on your head ,Donkeys and cows will follow you to graze on your head" etc.
Even though she was class topper the nun was pissed off because she used to wear a small bindi to school,This was long time ago.
Nowadays the brainwashing is so rampant, that no Hindu girl will wear a bindi even in normal time, that is called Subconscious Programming to hate one's religious symbols and Religion since Childhood.

I have my seen it enuff brother how these convent mock our feelings..... I am also against the education model of these convent inducted here .... Heavy bags on shoulders of kids, parents n even three year kids getting interviewed before admission n etc .....
If I wish we must inculcate the values of gurukul system in our schools .....

My post is pointed towards Saffron terrorists and the apologists who are nothing but scum of the earth.
Word "Saffron terrorists" is enuff to signal us whom are condemning here ...... Keep it up ....

YSR did his bit as a Vatican agent in spreading the Gospel word under the blessings of Sonia Mata in AP.
You must visit Coastal AP to see the extent of conversions in 10 year rule of YSR,Never saw such rampant public conversions take place before.
In Hyderabad his son,who is a known factionist settled property disputes and usurped many properties and gave Grants,Lands to Christian Institutions almost free of cost.
In just 10 years the Christian population in AP might have risen by a 6-7%

There is a ray of hope though, many GuruKul system based schools are coming up in India nowadays. With the advent of these International Model schools, the Convent based schools are loosing their value as opposed to earlier times, when Only Convents were considered the epitome of Education standards and the ability to learn good English.
Nowadays, they have competition, but still it's a long road ahead.

Clearly your choose to believe otherwise :coffee: .. don't be such an apologist.

Since I choose to be circumspect in what i believe based on who said what, it is silly to talk about being an apologist. The school as a minority institution is well within its rights to display religious symbols of their faith, that is the law. The school can also have a dress code, that too is allowed for under the law. Whether this was necessarily a smart thing to do in the manner which it has been done is another question though I remain wary of believing everything that someone has accused the school of. Especially when there are two different versions in 2 different sources.

Human rights commission gave a stern warning to the school and asked them to reply before March 9.Do you think all of this is a joke?
Don't ask us to condemn when somebody vandalizes a church or Minority institution then.

When they have asked for a reply, it means just that - they want the school's version.

I don't ask you to condemn any vandalizing, that is entirely your prerogative & my own views on the logic there is well known even to you.

mate, u r shifting the focus from the girl being punished and getting debarred from the school, for having a tilak to if she was made to stand under the sun or not ? how can u defend the principals move ? she was debarred at the end of her academic year, for wearing a tilak. for god's sake understand this. what was her crime ?? visiting a temple on her bday and wearing a tilak was that a crime?? and what is this logic in asking her to erase the tilak before gng to the school ? why should she ?? she isn't carrying any weapon to the school. If the principal had a problem with wearing a tilak she should have STFU and done her business. unlike the principal and school authorities the kid isn't rubbing her religious identity on others. isn't it a bias against hindu students in asking them not to show there religious identity, while the school is filled up with idols and photos of jesus ?? every day the students are made to sing songs on jesus, while they shouldn't follow there religious customs in the school premises ?? don't u think the time is right to question these double standards ?

I'm not discussing the merits of whether the school should have done this or the other or whether indeed they have done anything as alleged. I didn't read about any debarment, again it is not in the article. Maybe you are referring to an allegation of a transfer certificate being offered. Overkill & pointless if true.

On the tilak issue however, you need to know the law, the school can have a dress code and would well be within its rights to enforce that rule.I have given examples of Hindu institutions having a similar requirement to be adhered to and there is nothing more to that however much it may displease you. A non-Christian has no automatic right to be admitted into a Christian institution, a reading of the law should help. The school as a minority institution is regarded as a religious based institution & has every right to put up those religious symbols that they want and there is no right for any one else to put their symbols or make displays in that institution except by the permission of the authorities running the school. It is a school of the Christians and anyone not of the christian faith understands that when admitting their children. You can't argue that since there are Christian priests & nuns there, there is an automatic right to bring in Hindu priests or of any other faith.

Ever the fence sitter. It was rather clear you choose to believe the school the school who had everything to loose by admitting discrimination than the child who had everything to loose by protesting against it ?. You Prejudice is apparent.

Its a bit like a White Cop beating up an innocent black guy for looking like a suspect and you choosing to believe that the cop is telling the truth :cheesy: ............. after all by your twisted logic, both of them could be lying. Sadly the key here is "motive".

Its a strawman arguing that Religious minority have the right to display symbols of their faith. The problem is about them refusing OTHERS the right to do the same. THAT is the HYPOCRISY being point out. :coffee:

Dress code should apply to STAFF as well as Students. You cannot bully the child just because they are the weakest sections of our society. And by hiding behind "rules" people like you are encouraging religious discrimination by pretending that it din't exist. That is called being a Partner in Crime.
