PPP and PMLN never wanted to proceed any hydro projects in Kashmir and GB. They simply were under pressure from India who lobbied around the globe to quiet any such pursuits. Kala Bagh was also made controversial by PPP if you have forgotten. No one has pursued Hydropower as aggressively as Imran Khan. Both PPP and PMLN just gave us expensive unsustainable Coal and LNG project. Good thing Khan put a stop to them.

If PTI gets power in Sindh (by some miracle) then we might see Kalabagh being made as well. Honestly Kalabagh is the most beneficial project for the country with huge amount of water storage and power generation at a fraction of the cost.

Today Sindhis are finding out the benefit of dams when their fields are running dry and their crops are dying but still jeay Bhutto.

Kalabagh can effectively solve all water issues in Sindh but Sindhis would rather die than not serve Ethno-Fascists of PPP'. Then we also have those surkhas of ANP in KPK and Khanzeer e Azam Fazlandu Diesel. Meanwhile there are plenty of other projects that can help us. Bunji Dam should also be considered at all cost.
