On a serious note, I think the future doesn't bode well for outsourcing to India. There is growing amount of talent within the US (and the rest of the world) due to increase in to coding academies, computer science majors, and free learning resources. That coupled with tectonic shift in...
Messed up or not, it's annoying seeing them think they own everything or are above everyone. I'm glad Trump took aim at India with tariffs. He's putting them back in their place.
That's because they have abused the H-1B visa program. Their strategy is to
(1) Get H-1B visa for Indians to fill up IT jobs in US
(2) Eventually shift those jobs back to India, using their influence
(3) For the Indians that remain, use their monetary and political influence to push...
I've only felt G3 rifle in video games, even then it sucked so badly. When I found out Pakistan Army uses it and "loves it", I was shocked. I don't know why Pakistan Army would use such a gun.
When English is used as a teaching medium, more time is spent translating English, than learning the actual material, critical thinking, projects, etc. It's the same if I learn another language, I have to translate it inside my mind first before I can make sense of it.
This is why South Asia...
This makes sense, I would figure the US-Indian alliance will come to an end at some point. The US has sold India pretty sophisticated hardware and yet, India has not returned the favor. US extended India certain privileges in missile technology and even intel sharing, communication networks. It...
I think the recent conference on involving private sector in defense matters shows that the military itself has come to the conclusion that private sector is the way forward. The mentioning of mining of raw material- like iron ore, etc- also shows that they would like the whole chain sourced...
@manlion
Can you comment on how the recent Hindi language controversy in Tamil Nadu has affected the overall population? Do you feel there is more tensions now than there were before? What about the other states like Kerala, Karnataka?
For the help that Pakistan initially gave to China and for the strategic benefits it offers it, I just don't feel that Pakistan has gotten much in return.
China has gone to war with US for North Korea and depending on the conditions, will do so again. Will China go to war with India for...
This seems to be a pretty accurate prediction of what has happened in Muslim history and what is to come:
Ḥudhayfa b. al-Yamān (rA) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Prophethood will remain amongst you for as long as Allah wishes. Then Allah will remove it whenever He wishes to remove it...
I never said that Pakistan should have gone to Yemen, I'm simply telling you that from the Saudi perspective Pakistan "back-stabbed" them. That's why you saw a collapse in relations, which wasn't repaired until Imran Khan literally sucked up to MBS after Kashoggi incident and drove him whenever...
I don't know about that. Prophet Muhammad seemed to know that His ummah would become pretty large. He also seemed to know how nations would gather to attack and carve up lands like food - a pretty accurate description of what's been happening for the last 100 years or so.
Thawbān (RA) reports...
It's not about taking pride in aid, it's about reality. You can preach about financial independence all you want, however, Pakistan will be depending heavily on GCC for at least the next decade. The least you - and many others- can do, is not insult them.
There is a difference between economic activity & aid. GCC have invested in India and they depend on Indian labor, there is some parity. On the other hand, Saudi literally bailed Pakistan out in desperate times and will continue to do so. India will never have that kind of support from Saudi.
So you are saying that 10 empires hundreds of years ago had more borders & divisions then 30-50 countries today?
Stop trying to use blood-shedding in history as an argument against unification today. If you are trying to use that as a reason to argue against Islamic teachings, you are wasting...
Saudi Arabia did not provide life support to India after its nuclear tests, like they did for Pakistan. Furthermore, they aren't helping India, they are there for profit. On the other hand, they had no reason to support Pakistan after its nuclear tests, aside from brotherhood.
As for the US...
There has been no alliance because there was no need for an alliance. Much of the Muslim world fell under the caliphate. International borders were drawn by colonial powers as they broke the caliphate apart. There are very clear hadith(s) indicating a return towards caliphate, regardless of how...
Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan in its most desperate times and has bailed it out many times. Whether it's during war, sanctions from nuclear tests, or bankruptcy. Pakistan essentially back-stabbed them by not helping them with Yemen.
What I find troubling in this article is that someone is saying that the military essentially nationalized one of their UAV projects and this has led to the ruin of the UAV industry. I have been hearing of Pakistan working on UAVs for over a decade now, I still don't see much progress.
