Bangladesh has set up the largest single sewage treatment plant in South Asia, capacity of 500,000 cu.mtrs per day

Not to mention that a stable and prosperous India is in BD national's interest. It gives BD access to a huge market(FTA between BD and India to be signed soon) and is the gateway to cheap and clean hydroelectric power from Nepal and Bhutan. In 2026 500MW of hydroelectric electricity will flow...

Bangladesh has set up the largest single sewage treatment plant in South Asia, capacity of 500,000 cu.mtrs per day

I actually prefer India as at least it is progressing and should be able to at least somewhat keep up with BD in terms of economy. Pakistan is destined to stay a 3rd world economy for at least all our lifetimes.

Bangladesh has set up the largest single sewage treatment plant in South Asia, capacity of 500,000 cu.mtrs per day

I think by 2035 BD would be the cleanest country in S Asia by some distance with excellent infrastructure all across the country. It would be fantastic then to visit and go on a road trip by road, rail, boat etc to explore the country.

Bangladesh has set up the largest single sewage treatment plant in South Asia, capacity of 500,000 cu.mtrs per day

The story of the BD people throughout history. Before the British arrived in S Asia it was one of the richest and most technologically advanced regions of the world. Rest of S Asia was backwards as ever. 50% of the Mughal empire wealth was concentrated in Bengal which had Dhaka, capita of BD...

Bangladesh caught in the middle of US-Russia power struggle

BD is not caught in the middle of a power struggle at all. It was able to cleverly show Russia that it's support of Myanmar over Rohingya will be met with a slapdown. In effect it used the US to show the Russians that BD cannot be taken for granted by anyone. BD will never take sides as it...

Bangladesh Denies Entry To Russian Vessel Loaded With Components For The Nation’s First Nuclear Power Plant

Look here dude, BD is no-one's bitch. Russia needed some payback for Rohingya and BD maintaining this neutral stance is it for them. There is no reason for BD to go out on a limb for them here.

Opinionated - Is South Asia really more corrupt than USA?

Dude, I think you English comprehension needs to be improved. It was not a 'rant' and this is a forced transfer of wealth as people have no choice but to pay it. In essence working people on the lowest incomes are being forced, on the pain of going to jail, to pay tax on their meagre incomes...

Opinionated - Is South Asia really more corrupt than USA?

I just did in that post you quoted.

Bangladesh's forex reserves fall to $32.7b after ACU payment

I sense severe butt-hurt from the OP. He should take lots of the below to soothe his pain: BD now plays in a totally different economic league to his country and any comparison is an insult to BD. A BD electronics company is about to showcase it's technology to CES while his country has...

Bangladesh's forex reserves fall to $32.7b after ACU payment

This blip happens at the conclusion of the every two monthly payment to the ACU. It is not any trend fall in reserves and the obsessed OP is seeing his world fall apart, as BD economy powers ahead while his own is still stuck at the same level after 75 years of independence. In 10 years time...

Opinionated - Is South Asia really more corrupt than USA?

Nah, UK top-level corruption has reached a new level where the wealth is being sucked from anyone of working age on low to modest income, that has no assets and being given to older asset owning classes and the rich. A working person on minimum wage(14 US dollars an hour) is paying taxes to...

Bangladesh electronics giant Walton to take part in 'Consumer Electronics Show (CES)-2023' at Las Vegas

I know where you are coming from but Sony is still HUGE in terms of component manufacturing. So many phones have sub-components like cameras that are sourced from Sony. Agreed that there will be one or two Chinese outfits in the top 5-6 but don't bet against Sony as they also have their...

New loan scams, dollar crunch hit banks in Bangladesh

These desperate trolls are now claiming export figures are being made up by Hasina. BD must now be the world hegemon that it can force the USA, China etc. to make up import numbers from BD as they are ordered by "Caesar" Hasina.:sniper:

Bangladesh electronics giant Walton to take part in 'Consumer Electronics Show (CES)-2023' at Las Vegas

Walton could now realistically be one of the top 5 electronics companies in the world by 2030, just behind the likes of Samsung, LG and Sony now.

Export earnings surge to $5.36b in Dec

Hasina does not consult but analyses and then gives out instructions which get implemented with ruthless efficiency by BB and the Trade Ministry.

Explain how 30,000 docs went missing from server HC orders Rajuk

Are you aware that BD banking system is extremely robust and not a single person has ever lost a single Taka in deposit? BB will always make sure that the credibility of banks is not threatened. Stop overdramatising as mismanagement in one bank happens even in western countries.

Export earnings surge to $5.36b in Dec

:sniper: https://www.newagebd.net/article/190642/export-earnings-surge-to-536b-in-dec " Bangladesh’s export earnings in December 2022 were $5.36 billion, the highest-ever single-month earnings, due to a robust performance of readymade garment products despite a global economic slowdown. The...

US Ambassador for strengthening US-Bangladesh ties

Relations between BD and US are going from strength to strength. US is importing near 1 billion US dollars from BD of mainly garments but we will increasingly see cheap consumer electronics flooding in. These consumer electronics will serve as the perfect replacement for Chinese goods that the...

US Ambassador for strengthening US-Bangladesh ties

This "NATO Regime Change Project" is a fantasy they cooked up in their minds as it does not exist. Even if the US wanted to, it no longer has the power to carry out regime change as it once did - Pakistan is different as their politicians and military are traitors.

US Ambassador for strengthening US-Bangladesh ties

That dude you are speaking to you has next to no knowledge about economics and/or geopolitics. BD government has strong allies like India, Russia and China and it gets no trade preferences from the USA. US retailers choose to source nearly 8-900 million US dollars of garments from BD each...
