Why anti-Americanism continues to thrive in Pakistan

Perhaps this will change views on both sides: Tribal People's Incredible Experience at Texas Road House! :D Read the comments by the vile Amreekis.

Why anti-Americanism continues to thrive in Pakistan

Pakistan is vociferously, to its own detriment, anti-American based on half-baked truths, propaganda etc. etc.. We have educated Pakistanis cursing the US and then once they get a chance to visit or live there, completely change their tune. Pakistanis, in general, have a very limited...

Pak stares at 'Non-NATO Ally' status cessation; Bill against Pakistan in U.S Congress

There is no aid from the US. They may fund some disaster relief or NGOs but they don't give us any aid, specially in the military domain. But I do agree, we should not ask nor take any assistance.

Pak stares at 'Non-NATO Ally' status cessation; Bill against Pakistan in U.S Congress

We have a massive "economic" relationship worth at least $6B in Pakistani exports and $3B in US imports to our country. That is a decent size ~$10B relationship.

Is Shahzad Chaudhry Right "On India"?

Thanks for a great post! Some adjustments can deliver significant returns on account of the massive population we are to have. This is the one and only asset we have. China and India are good examples.

Why anti-Americanism continues to thrive in Pakistan

I think it goes way back. Post 1965, with our own misunderstanding of their interests vs ours, we could not come to terms with why they had disengaged. We could never understand this divergence that has cropped up from time to time. Other countries manage this divergence better than us and...

Why anti-Americanism continues to thrive in Pakistan

You need leverage with the Americans. We have none right now. All of it was invested in Taliban. Not suggesting what was done was all wrong, but our pro/con analysis wasn't very accurate. ;-). Perhaps another case of speaking with hindsight.

Why anti-Americanism continues to thrive in Pakistan

Why anti-Americanism continues to thrive in Pakistan Normality cannot be achieved without Pakistan itself becoming a normal country, and Washington shifting its focus of interest to the people, from the ruling elite. Former PM Imran Khan's anti-American rhetoric exacerbated tensions: US senator

Will the army really quit meddling in politics for good?

Pay attention to this opinion. I post it so people don't think I am simply toeing the line. As hubristic as Gen Bajwa was, he always found willing partners that enabled him. So the fault is certainly with him but those who went along and abetted the journey cannot escape their own personal...

Gen Bajwa Used Spying Charge To Punish Gen Javed

In a country that has given us Ayub, Bhutto, Yahya, Zia, NS, AAZ etc. etc. why are you so puzzled by Bajwa only?

Democracy is best revenge, Karachi gets revenge from IK negligence. Votes in PPPP

Not that PTI, JI or MQM could have done wonders for Karachi by winning it, but I now expect Karachi going to the 7th level of hell with the new admin. If one looks at the affairs of interior Sind, not much hope for Karachiites. My sympathies.. One possibility however is that PPP may not have...

Gen Bajwa Used Spying Charge To Punish Gen Javed

Perhaps it did but are we an exception? The fact that he was put on court martial and sentenced means the measures in place, MI etc. work to an extent. However, you are right that an officer at the rank of Lt Gen being involved is worrisome and hopefully lessons have been learned and more...

Gen Bajwa Used Spying Charge To Punish Gen Javed

No, we are tired of those who forget all the "favors" done by the establishment for their leader very conveniently and bring the level of the forum down by outright abuse. Criticize people but within the limits of forum rules. He has already done time. The appeal was pending with the CoAS and...

Gen Bajwa Used Spying Charge To Punish Gen Javed

Ok show me one thread here "complimenting" Bajwa where any of the pro-IK/PTI band has said anything positive. The binary thinking here is IK is ALL good and Bajwa is ALL bad so any thread even remotely close to Bajwa turns into abuse/cursing and what not. We have to clean it up thus the...

Imran planned to settle TTP fighters in ex-Fata

Killers of 80,000 Pakistanis to be settled in Pakistan at GOP's cost? Was the Pakistani nation taken into confidence on these steps by IK and coterie? Their policy statement seems to be as follows: "We won't talk to those who have stolen from Pakistan, yet we have no qualms with the mass...

Gen Bajwa Used Spying Charge To Punish Gen Javed

Because most here attack Bajwa and the army out of political reflexes. Not that I know much about this specific case, but almost ALL others commenting vociferously against the former CoAS have no idea either as to what the gravity of the charges and the damage done was and also how true the...

PTI will lose tomorrow from Karachi

Then clearly people don't understand how Karachi works. Please see above. Forget 3 choices, give them 10 and even then not a damn thing will change. Post 18th amendment, PPP runs the city from the interior of Sind.

Bajwa data leak: Islamabad court approves two-day physical remand of Bol News journalist Shahid Aslam

    Could be. I don't recall where 3 and 4 stars sit. It's either 21 and 22 or 20 and 21.
