I think most of these bollywood films started showing muslims as negetive character only after 9/11 attacks and many gang wars and mafias including dons such as dawood ibrahim...till then villains which dominated the film industry in the 80s were pre-dominately hindus or any random religion like...

but still our film industry gave them chance, which shows india is not anti-pakistani as claimed by the article..:)
