PTI gives greenlight to Imran to dissolve assembly

Because IK wasn't MPA of KPK assembly? You can't *just* become CM/PM, you need to be a member of the relevant assembly. ----- That said, this is depressing, you can't just reject the mandate the people gave you and just resign en masse, sure there was rigging in a few seats, but that doesn't...

Any Valid Reason to Hate Doctor Tahirul Qadri as a Visionary Politician?

And TuQ will solve all the problems? And he *can't* do it via getting elected? And without giving up Canadian Nationality? And without coming back to Pakistan? Absurd one liners will not solve our problems. We need evolutionaries, not revolutionaries. Shortcuts has ruined this nation, we...

Any Valid Reason to Hate Doctor Tahirul Qadri as a Visionary Politician?

A few simple reasons why I dislike Mr Qadri's brand of politics: 1- I dislike the fact that he is trying to shape a destiny which he himself will not face. People with dual nationality have a safe "backup plan" if things go south, something us Pakistanis do not have. This was my beef with...

Punjab’s budget: Province to pour Rs31b into energy projects

What about Sindh? Will those PPP duffers have pity on people there, and start any power projects? I heard rumours of a wind turbine project, but I don't believe such ingenuity from them.

    Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif?

WHOA! I was just trying to explain WHAT had happened, for people who think Mrs. Can only be used with Husband's name. I personally don't give a damn.

    Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif?

Here is the problem, you are mixing naming convention of two DIFFERENT cultures and hoping to make sense! ---- Now in English, a woman takes her husband's name upon marriage like so: Miss. Maryam Nawaz Sharif would become Mrs. Maryam Safdar Which can be shortened to just Mrs. Safdar. ----...

Pan-Islamic rally urges Pakistan to liberate Jerusalem

Because we have got the "bum"! And because Hizb-Tahrir is a banned pakistani outfit. ---- there is a VERY good reason Palestine doesn't like us. Hint, Pak Army, led by then Brigadier Zia attacked PLO on behalf of Jordan: Wikipedia: Black September in Jordan

    Infrastructure Development in Pakistan

Why the hell does the metrobus project turn it into a PTi vs PMLN fest? I voted for IK in NA56... but I also support metro, since it is a good project, and transit is an important need. That, and I'm a commuter, so I know it is to travel in wagons, and that is not acceptable. People talk about...

    Pindi Metro Bus concerns

If you *want* to ride, that's a separate thing, but you shouldn't be "forced" to ride a bike just because the public transit makes no sense. People shouldn't be forced to use private transport because they cannot rely on public transport. It shouldn't be cheaper to go privately.

    Pindi Metro Bus concerns

Muhammad Omar, haven't I seen your post somewhere else also? :D ;p ---- On the Environmental front, let me say this, where as the 4000 trees will be replanted, why isn't any one realising the massive environmental benefit from REDUCED emissions, since people will finally be able to leave their...

Rawalpindi, Karachi and Peshawar in top ten most polluted cities in world - WHO

This, funnily enough, is why the RWP-ISB project is so necessary, environmentally! Rawalpindi has no functional transport, so we are a hodgepodge of cars, bikes, suzukis, chingchi and rickshaws, all belching fumes If a functional transit system like Metro was introduced, then people will be...

    Islamabad: Metro Bus plan changes

I've been following this project for some while, and I don't recall any portion being overhead in Isloo section, the NESPAK slides show it at grade at Jinnah Avenue.

    Pindi Metro Bus concerns

Don't be silly, you know that's NOT what I said. Here is what I said; If there is rigging, the solution is NOT to run to GHQ, the solution to fix it ourselves. But there is another delusion, that people will vote ONLY on performance! And that since person X did not show performance, then...

    Pindi Metro Bus concerns

No, NEVER! Under NO circumstance are we to shy from democracy, however "flawed", and accept "Honest dictatorship" We must wean off that teat and MUST learn to survive, and most importantly, be RESPONSIBLE for our action. No longer can we let our mental capacities be rented out to dictators...

    Pindi Metro Bus concerns

One of the biggest problem is the idea that PTI is some how infallible. I've presented evidence that Asad Umar was "less than honest" with his 4 Billion figure. (Hint, the ADB report doesn't mention that figure ANYWHERE) I was immensely saddened to read this since I expected better from him...

    Pindi Metro Bus concerns

As some who ACTUALLY has to travel on Wagons from Pindi to Isloo, I find it hilarious that people are opposing this project! Also, wait till they make 11th Av, NO one will remember the "Green Belt"

Petition Filed in SCP to stop work on Metero Bus in ISL-RWP

^ No need to make fun of Asad Umar's name, yar. We can be more mature than that. ---- That said, I agree, as someone who actually has to go on wagons, I cannot believe some one can oppose Metro Bus. If Asad umar can find genuine reason to reduce cost, I will back him. But to deny the entire...

Petition Filed in SCP to stop work on Metero Bus in ISL-RWP

Peshawar Morr itself costs 5-7 Billion! Thing is, Asad Umar is thinking from Islamabad resident point of view, where it is true, a simple bus service will serve them. Problem is all the Islamabad commuters who WORK in Islamabad... but can't *afford* to live there! THEY use public transport...
