Guys when PAF received 18 F-16s in mid 2000s, I heard they are maintained only by US technicians stationed at PAF base. Pakistani technicians are not trained to maintain them. Also these air crafts cannot be used in war without prior US permission. Does anyone has info on this?

Guys few years back PA overhauled their first Mi-17 helo. I heard PA was in talks with Russia for a dedicated facility in Pakistan to overhaul other Mi-17s. Any update on this?

Its a pity, PAF wasted precious time and never genuinely intended or thought of purchasing new combat platforms. They keep overhauling vintage aircraft over and over again putting precious life of pilots at risk. We lost pilots due to crashes of these vintage air crafts. This is criminal...
