National anthem every morning, Vande Mataram every evening : Those who oppose can go to Pakistan

Jaipur’s civic body has made it mandatory for all staff to sing the national anthem every morning and Vande Mataram every evening, The Indian Express reported on Wednesday. Mayor Ashok Lahoty also said that those who oppose the decision should “go to Pakistan”.

The order was first implemented at the headquarters of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation on Tuesday. The national anthem will be played at 9.50 am and Vande Mataram at 5.55 pm every day. After the national anthem is played, the biometric attendance system will not accept any more entries, according to India Today.

Staff at the civic body’s zonal offices and fire stations are also expected to follow the drill soon.

The decision was made to instil a sense of patriotism and love for the country, “maintain discipline” and ensure a “positive work environment”, The Indian Express quoted the order letter, which was issued on Monday, as saying. It was signed by Additional Commissioner Har Sahay Meena.

Mayor Lahoty said singing the national anthem would help “develop work culture”, and ensure that everyone comes to work with positive energy and on time. He justified the singing of Vande Mataram every evening by saying that workers should “go home with positive energy” and give quality time to family.

“We are not asking anyone to chant a religious slogan,” he said. “So if anyone opposes the national anthem and song, there are no restrictions but they should go to Pakistan.”

The state Congress said it supported the move, but criticised Lahoty for the reference to Pakistan.

How come opposing or not singing Vande mataram justifies to oust one to Pakistan or even it verifies that actually the person should go to Pakistan. Tell me, elections are not close or NaMO actually failed to establish its narrative based upon last election campaign that yet his supporters/voters comes with such idea of patriotism on demand, from time to time, so that masses could be boosted about nationalism contrary to serve the public with basic needs. However, from another point of view, this is not the first time to speak against Pakistan is actually helping to have support from a certain set of people so that none would be looking at incompetency of ruling party.

National anthem etc is indeed the matter of India but relating the same again & again to Pakistan, is not plausible nor logical except that how a party with closed mindset/nothing to work upon broader aspect for the country or people; is actually proving that how people mostly living in remote areas or bit away from city population are actually being injected with wrong acquired (deliberately designed as such) mandate.

Though, at least one should appreciate the work of BJP at most that actually reminds the people about patriotism even it is being done in regard to Pakistan as enemy contrary to what our corrupt political lot has been doing so mostly. Our resident evils needs to learn one or two things from NaMO that if back in Pakistan, a corrupt politician has to cover his crimes, rather than repeating the same "threat to democracy narrative" needs to come with such idea so that the few may forget the real picture. I must say, in this regard only (patriotism injections) India is lucky to have NaMO. Speaking of patriotism injection, is actually a false bravado to divert the attention and focus of people from real issues, rights and resources of living demands. Mentioning of Pakistan will actually help BJP to create more hate against those citizens that may or may not have committed such rejection of singing but at-least the mindset of divide and rule would be satisfied whereby very few would be looking at development by BJP for the people thing which is the need of hour.
