Pakistan's national anthem to be rearranged

ISLAMABAD:

The government has tasked the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) to rearrange the national anthem’s musical rendition – originally composed by Ahmed G. Chagla – using a world class orchestra, truly representing the country’s cultural diversity.

This was decided during a meeting chaired by Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb. The meeting was held to review preparations for celebrating Pakistan’s 70th independence anniversary.

PNCA director-general Jamal Shah has been assigned to submit a detailed proposal in the context.

The minister directed officials concerned to leave no stone unturned in preparations to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner.

The ministry and all its allied departments should make concerted efforts to make the celebrations a historic event, she said, adding that art, culture and heritage of the country should be duly highlighted during the course of the celebrations.

Let's see what they do with world class orchestra. I was actually surprised to learn how much Pakistan anthem is liked by non-Pakistanis.

IMHO the most beautiful thing about the Pak national anthem is its words - full of Ma'na!!! As for the Ehl-i Iman, the last para looks like a very well prepared defense for the Mahkeme-i Kubra. With Terjunan-i Mazi associated with Ayyildiz (Hilal ve Sitara), the ownership of all Jihat, Mujahit, Shehit, Gazi etc. in the entire Muslim history is taken!!!! Now, on the Roz-i Hashr, two camps will be set up - one for Muslimin and the other for Mujrimin (criminals - since Tejavvuz on Izzet-i Ilahi is the highest crime without any Keffara). The Pak folks are proclaiming that no matter what they belong to the Muslim camp!!!! Well, I don't see a better way to hit the bottom line for Nejat with the least efforts!!!! Is it due to Rahmetli Jinnah, one of most astute lawyers in the British Empire, could score the home run no matter how unwinnable the case would appear, and that too with a minimum hours of pleading?????

Its a ballad. Music to our ears wherever we are.

Elegant. Eccentric. Balanced. The words pure. Passion runs through every vocal chord when one utter these chosen words.

The melody which represents humans journey.


Stop rebranding Pakistan. It is pure as it forever was since its inception.


PDP protests these changes. Stop this money making and political stunt and stop treating your subjects as beggars who just have to bear your incompetencies.
