Pakistanis watch Emirati troop march in India with disbelief

There is an enormous potential of benefits in "Arab ocean" for us. Our diplomacy and foreign policy is failing us and we are here only rejoicing it because it goes more smoothly with our secular arguments and provide a comforting argument against the Idea of Ummah.
Nothing is failing us, We are on the right track. India needs these small nations but not Pakistan, the very back bone of Pakistan is China and we should stay aligned with the interests of China. Staying out of secular war was the best policy of Pakistan and if UAE can go for India Pakistan shall go for Iran it is called TIT for TAT. Rest Iran has oil and China is an all weather friend. Pakistan is in the best diplomacy in the world. the best way to move forward is too move for strategic advantage rather than looking at Arabs to tell us what to do.

I have not used the word of Ummah or any other religious vocabulary in the current thread. May be you should read properly before replying only on the basis of hate and self-serving ego.

Now having said that, I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE IDEA OF ALL MUSLIMS BEING THE MEMBER OF ONE UMMAT. IF ONE GET HURTS, EVERYONE FEELS THE PAIN. The current actions of some of the powerful people of our communities may not go very well with this philosophy, but it is a fact and it will always be rooted deep inside every Muslim center of influence.
Let's agree to disagree.

I can't care less about the muslim world outside my own country. They can go to the dogs for all I care.

Well this will be enough reply for UAE. If they can understand the cost of actions and reactions.
As Newton said every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, the head of Iran parliament’s committee on national security and foreign policy, was on a three-day visit to Islamabad. In a news conference on Friday, he hinted the formation of four-nation alliance. He had wide-ranging talks with Pakistani authorities including National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. (retd.) Nasser Khan Janjua, and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. While speaking to the reporters he said that new alliances will be formed now that Donald Trump is the President of the United States. He said that under the changing circumstances, China, Pakistan, Russia and Iran should cooperate with each other for regional peace and stability.

Recently, China, Pakistan and Russia held discussions on peace in Afghanistan. Reports suggested that the three may extend an invitation to Tehran to join the discussions seeking a political solution to eradicate unrest in Afghanistan. Boroujerdi acknowledged that Iran and Pakistan could play an important role in helping Afghanistan.

Iran’s Chahbahar port was also brought up the reporters. Boroujerdi said that Chahbahar and Pakistan’s Gwadar were sister ports and as such, Tehran was willing to join the China Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC). According to him, the project had potential to benefitting Iran tremendously. Several other countries have expressed a desire to join CPEC.

There was a time when Arab soldiers, under the heroic command of 17 years old Muslim General, Muhammad Bin Qasim marched on India and soon defeated the arrogant Hindu Raja Dahir whose men had ill-treated few Muslim women. In the year 712 AD, thereafter, there was literally no turning back for the expansion of Islam in the sub-continent. With this victory, all of Sindh came under the control of the Muslims. It continued with successive waves of Muslim armies moving forward into India and leaders such as Mahmud of Ghazni and Muhammad Tughluq expanded the Muslims’ hold. Sindh is the land around the Indus River in the southwestern part of the subcontinent, in present-day Pakistan.

Unlike Muhammad Bin Qasim, soldiers of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be marching to the tune of Narendra Modi on republic Day of India in Delhi, tomorrow, on Thursday 26 Jan 2017. Brigadier Obaid Al Zahumi, UAE contingent commander will be in step with Indians soldiers along with his contingent comprising 195 UAE soldiers; 15 officers and 180 Other Ranks including band members in the Indians freedom parade.

The Times of India reports that for the first time Arab soldiers will be marching in New Delhi. UAE contingent will match to the music and rhythm of India’s numerous military bands that put up a spectacular show on that day. The crown prince will be the chief guest at the 68th Indian Republic Day celebrations. The newspaper further adds that Sheikh Mohammed’s visit will be an opportunity for India and the UAE, who have grown closer in the past few years, to upgrade their bilateral relationship to a “strategic partnership”.

The Indian Army will showcase its T-90 and BMP tanks, Tejas and Sukhoi fighters, Brahmos missiles, Dhanush gun system along with Weapon Locating Radars (WLR) Swati at the R-Day parade to impress Pakistan and China.

Many Pakistanis are surprised that the crown prince Sheikh Muhammad, the chief guest of Indian parade, is the grandson of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan who was a great friend of Pakistan. People in Pakistan even today have very vivid and loving memories of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan. He was a great friend of Pakistan, always available to Pakistanis in every moment of happiness and grief. In Pakistan, many of his welfare projects stand as symbols of his generosity, concern and attachment with people of this land. People take his name with great respect despite malign Indian propaganda against sheikh that he was fond of “colorful” parties. People of Pakistan very well knew that Indians have been maligning him due to his immense liking of Pakistan.

Telegraph, an eminent UK newspaper in 2004, reported on the death of sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Alnahyan in following words:

“Pious and disciplinarian, Sheikh Zayed’s secret was that he never forgot his desert origins, his Islamic faith or his youthful passion for traditional sports and conservation. His foreign policy paid attention to the plight of the Palestinians and also supported developing nations – especially Pakistan, where Sheikh Zayed often felt at home.”

Khalid S. Almezaini, in his book “The UAE and foreign policy: foreign aid, identities and interests. Rutledge: 2012, highlights that Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Alnahyan considered all Muslims countries particularly Pakistan as part of greater Middle East, connected through the love of same religion, Islam.

It is an irony that many Arab Sheikhs, like sheikh Muhammad of UAE, at the height of their fame become ultra-modern and extra liberal. They start treating Muslims and Non-Muslims alike and fund ‘causes’ in non-Muslims countries with the hope that in this way they would be more respectful and prominent. They forget that this is a sheer illusion. Harvard, Yale, and Princeton were often financially supported by Arab “authoritarian regimes” but these institutions served more as a prophet of western civilization, a center of diplomacy and marketing rather than pure academic excellence. Many research articles originating from these institutions are influenced by politics and have no regards for their donors or care for alternative opinions. Saif Gaddafi, son of Libyan leader, Muammar al-Qaddafi, once said in distress:-

“Just a few months ago we were being treated as honored friends,” he railed. “Now that rebels are threatening our country, these cowards are turning on us. The way my former friends at the LSE [London School of Economics] have turned against me and my father is particularly upsetting. These people…abandoned us after taking our money for years.”

The LSE was donated a huge sum of money by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Alnahyan for many years but now it’s ‘nominated chair’ and portrait is removed from university premises. There, these Middle Eastern monarchs are called extremists and radicals. However, Sheikhs find real love and respect in Muslim countries alone. Even today, UAE officials find unprecedented love and respect in Pakistan. Not only many hunting sites in Pakistani deserts but also few airstrips of Pakistan are totally at the discretion of UAE leadership. Relations between UAE and Pakistan became tense in Apr 2015 when UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Mohammed Garhash warned Pakistan of dire consequences for taking an “ambiguous stand” on Yemen War. The Minister expected Pakistan ground troops in support of Saudi led coalition against Yemen but Pakistan parliament had directed that “Pakistan should play a mediating role and not get involved in the fighting in Yemen.”

Yemen war, no doubt is sad; Muslims fighting against Muslims. If any state aggressively starts taking sides then that one loses the credibility as honest broker/mediator. Pakistan was not preferring Iran over KSA or UAE but following a principal stand and trying hard to diffuse the tension between two Muslim countries. Going back few years, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Alnahyan had expressed serious concerns about the impact of UN sanctions on Iraq and had extended humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people. When the US-led coalition was preparing to invade Iraq, he declined to allow UAE bases to be used. It is always not necessary to be part of conflict when the dispute is between brothers. UAE is now realizing that War in Yemen is a futile effort and dispute must be handled through diplomacy and dialogue.

Today, around 2.6 Million Indians are working in UAE. It all started in the year 1980 by great leader, the grandfather of Sheikh Muhammad. He was aware of marginalization and ill-treatment of Indians Muslims by Hindus in India. He, with full backing and appreciation of Pakistan started giving jobs to Indians Muslims in UAE to relieve their acute financial hardships back home in India. However, gradually Indians Hindus started replacing Indians Muslims on the pretext of more loyalty and docile attitude. Now the Indian lobby [Hindus] in UAE is most influential and often creates problems for Pakistan and its diaspora there.

UAE is under immense cultural attack. It is not only the Arabic language which is shrinking but also Islamic values fast eroding in many cities of UAE due to massive presence of non-Muslims. Due to extra liberal policies and non Muslim immigration are finding their homes and jobs in Arabian Peninsula and reprehensible evils like prostitution, liquor and gambling; once a trademark of western cities are now more pronounced in few cities of UAE.

Indian Muslims are continued to be humiliated on daily basis and no upper caste Hindu ever thinks to dine with common Muslim. During visit of Arab dignitaries where Hindu elite would be dinning with Sheikh Muhammad would provide some comfort to the Muslims of India. In past three months, over 1300 young boys and girls of Indians occupied Kashmir have been literally ‘blinded’ by Indians security forces by pellet guns. I only hope that crown prince Sheikh Muhammad enjoys his stay and does not come across any such victim while witnessing the colorful celebrations in India. As for Pakistanis, we hardly forget anything, and this move by the UAE govt will have very long term implications.

Lol.....lol......IS THIS FOR REAL?????............LOL.......

Those days are long gone and are dead. TBH honest apart from China and Turkey NO OTHER nations matter to Pakistan whatsoever. With the successful initiation of CPEC, our tests of our MIRVs and SLCMS we have GONE a long way in improving our economy and becoming self sufficient in advanced weapons production. We have FULLY OUTGROWN and flown the nest as far as caring what the Gulf/Middle Eastern and other Muslim nations think of us and our relations with them. We have thoroughly moved on and no longer need them. Pakistan IS the most advanced and powerful Muslim nation in the world by a long shot. And that's all that matters. I couldn't care less about the Arabs, other Muslim nations and the Jews etc. All that matters is Pakistan becoming a major military power/superpower and possibly a world economic power. All else is irrelevant The Gulfis mean nothing to us. ONLY Pakistan matters all else is worthless. They can do what they like. It's their prerogative.

I used to. But then the other Muslims didn't feel the same about Pakistan and Pakistanis (except the Turks) so I no longer feel or care about the other Muslims except for the Turkish brothers and sisters.

other than china and turkey with whom we have good relations left? iran and UAE are enemies to eachother yet india has good relations with both of them ... its called playing the cards on both sides.. on the other hand in last four years our govt did;t even bother to appoint a foreign minster nor we have any clear policy our entire political elite is stuck in Panama leaks. our country is in dire need of a good leadership but unfortunately in current leaders no one has that quality.

India was playing both hands and it lost Russia. Playing both hands is not good. UAE did this not on any of personal reasons but because of Europe and UK.
This is the reason for UAE Troops going to India

As Russia, China and Pakistan work+ towards building a new axis in Afghanistan to accommodate Taliban as a tool against the Islamic Sate terror group, it could have unforeseen consequences for the Russia-India relationship.

On Tuesday, China, Pakistan and Russia met in Moscow to discuss Afghanistan's "deteriorating" security situation, despite strong protests from the Afghan government. The three countries relented towards the end of the day's discussions and said that they would expand the group to include Afghanistan the next time. There is already a move to induct Iran into this group.

Nandan Unnikrishnan, Russia analyst at Observer Research Foundation, said, "In the present context of limited communication between India and Russia, Russia's actions could lead to a drift in relations

The statement issued at the end of the meeting said, "The Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China as the UN Security Council permanent members confirmed their flexible approach to delisting Afghan individuals from the UN sanctions lists as their contribution to the efforts aimed at launching peaceful dialogue between Kabul and Taliban."

This could, if Russia and China press ahead, and if the US does not block, result in the removal of some top Taliban leaders from the UNSC sanctions list. Afghanistan, incidentally, has asked for the new Taliban chief to be included in the list.

Conspicuous by its absence at the meet was India, which continues to hold Taliban as the biggest threat+ in Afghanistan. Besides India, the Afghan government and the US both agree to this.

The Afghan government is currently going through its own political crisis, with the two key leaders of the unity government, President Ashraf Ghani and CEO Abdullah Abdullah, at loggerheads. The US, which has 9,800 troops in a counter-terrorism role is unsure of how it will utilise its presence in Afghanistan under a Trump administration.

India is holding on to the "red lines" for integration of Taliban into the Afghan government but that seems to be getting diluted by the new axis, which is less Afghan-led and more Pakistan-led, putting Pakistan once again in the driver's seat on Afghanistan's future.

Iran, which has been doing its own outreach to Taliban, is equally apprehensive of the fallout of IS cadres relocating to Afghanistan as they get driven out of Syria and Iraq.

Even of Pakistan goes for Iran it has no benefit to gain as Iran is neither a major export market nor jobs market for Pakistan...beside Iran has strategic relation with India and any relation Pakistan will try to build will Iranians will be over run by Iranian efforts to promote India..Arabs over tunes to Iran are out of their own economic weakness, the need to sell more oil and to counter Iran...we are in the best diplomatic camp already and should continue to improve our releations with China, Russia and India...

India was playing both hands and it lost Russia. Playing both hands is not good. UAE did this not on any of personal reasons but because of Europe and UK.

Foolish analysis..UAE did this..because India invited them...nothing else..India, UAE and Pakistan are free countries and free to persue their politics...UAE or Pakistan are not each other vassals..

What we should be very clear is that Ummah Chumma does not work...! even saudis invited India to have joint airforce exercises...

Sorry no need to improve relations with India Kashmir issue is the main Issue and will always remain the main Issue. Iran China Russia and Pakistan is the future of Asia. If you don't believe me just keep an eye on Pakistani Military.

These are the few facts:

UAE overtime time has become the dumping ground of Pakistani black money.
Criminals with serious charges found refuge in UAE.
Majority of corrupt political mafia use UAE as their base to do the "remote controlling" of affairs in Pakistan.
There have been many occasions where eye borrows were raised about UAE complicity in undermining situation in Baluchistan and Gawadar. UAE is the only country besides India which doesn't have any interest in CPEC. It doesn't export oil, and with Gawadar developing, you have a direct competitor to Dubai port.
Remember the rant of Dubai minister when Pakistan said no to join Yemen war.
Pakistan is getting closer to Qatar specially in defence related matters.
Recently a UAE royalty tents were removed and replaced with the Qatari royalty for the hubara bustard hunting.

I say good riddance, this tiny country will come to it senses soon. Pakistan is not in the mood of appeasing anyone.

UAE is only doing this to spite Pakistan for denying to join their Banana coalition against Yemen. Arrogant Sheikhs cannot digest a no from anyone. Today If Pakistan smiles back at them they will come marching in Pakistan day parade. They know very well India wont raise a knife to protect them when time comes.

UAE itself failed in Yemen war and had their ground troops face mass casualties..beside the heavy weight of GCC is Saudi Arabia and Pakistan has strong alliance with the Saudis already..however Saudis also have good releations with India...King Abdullah was guest at Republic Day and Indian airforce came over for air exercises with Saudi Airforce..

I strictly hate this we against them black and white type of attitude which does not work in global diplomacy or personal life..to start with even I attained my early education at Indian schools because put it honestly..Pakistan education sucks..and my brother attained his entire education upto 8th grade at Indian school...I believe Indians are great people and great potential..we should pick commonalities for mutual benefit rather than differences to fall apart...India is a huge economy and consumer market..everyone from China to Europe is rushing to sell their goods in Indian markets...we should also seek to boost our exports to India..especially when India has already accorded us MFN status while we have not reciprocated the same..! Arabs are even trading with Israel..we are lone example who hacks their bread and butter in the name of sentimental politics...

Arabs have centuries old releations with various parts of Indian subcontinent while the partition only happens to come in 1947...the history cannot be erased..and Arabs will not wipe out their historic releations either..for Pakistan to compete on Arab-Indian releations in immature to begin with.. and a disaster of foreign policy..!
