World is not allowing India to test more than 5000Km because its enemy is only china,and few people are doing illogical comments on ICBM for Pakistan. Single ICBM test will put Pakistan on isolation, and ocean of sanctions.
On topic , I think this test will be Shaheen 1A ballistic missile to improve parameters and improve survivability of missile in Anti-ballistic defense shield environment.

US imposed sanctions for a reason and Pakistan decided to go ahead and introduce the latest gadgets they were working on for the last couple of years.

They were quite for the last 10 or so years and very few new missiles were launched

US must stop others from doing that, which they themselves don't do. The real reason i think is that since Pakistan is becoming Alhamdolillah stable again with increasing peace day after day and the increase in technologies which Pakistan was working on and the increase in ties with Russia, US has fear in their mind that Pakistan might turn a big alley for them in the near future because of the increase in differences and it all started when US broke the F-16 deal just because of india and their increasing relations with India, Pakistan seeks a better option of increasing their relations with Russia which makes a new and far more strong tri-nation relation between Russia, Pakistan and China since the CPEC also grabbed Russia's eye. So it would not be wrong to say that Pakistan is being pushed to that extent where the thinktank felt right to increase their bilateral ties with not only Russia but also the tri-nation ties and restricting the so-called true friendship by US to a certain limit.

Does Pakistan have ICBM capability and technology: Most definitely YES.

Is Pakistan going to test an ICBM: Most definitely NOT. More hassle than it's worth.

What we really need is for India to test another ICBM. Seriously, that is the most urgent need of the hour.

Right up there with India's ICBM tests though, are also India's thermo-nuclear tests. Now this is a really serious matter. Our very existence, and that of our children, depends on India conducting thermo-nuclear tests in the next year or so.

We also need to have India get F-35s.

Another good thing for us would be if India gets its hand on rail gun technology for the navy, and laser technology/energy weapons for anti-ballistic missile purposes.

I am sure others can think of some more things that India MUST get otherwise we will be left behind...

Exactly...i used to be anti-ICBM but not anymore...Pakistan needs, with MIRV system and pretty long range... Might is right in this world, you become, it will rip you apart..we have seen weak countries going down...Just think if Libya had some long range missiles with nukes.. it would still be around.
