LAHORE – The multi-billion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is tempting international investors to divert their funds to Pakistan and it has been revealed that Germany is now eyeing to be part of the project.

German Ambassador Ina Lepel acknowledged that it was difficult to bring German investors to Pakistan but with improved security situations, investors could be lured in.

The ambassador Talking to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President, Abdul Rauf Alam claimed that Germany was keen to participate in CPEC through energy related projects.

She further elaborated that German companies are particularly keen to start energy-related projects in Pakistan. The focus is on renewable energy and power-saving programs to solve the issue of the energy crisis in the country. For over a decade, energy crisis has negatively impacted the economy of Pakistan, it is time to find a viable solution.

She said some German companies are facing issues and hoped they would be resolved at the earliest.

The FPCCI president drew the attention of the ambassador towards benefits of direct flights between the two countries and urged German investors to invest in multiple sectors in Pakistan as they did in China and India.

More isolation. It's absolutely killing me

Liar. :)
The truth is money attracts the money. Everyone wants his fair share of the roasted chicken.
More investment is welcome to Pakistan. Beside others, if they invest in health and auto sectors, it would be great.

Off topic: Lets send some cartons of burnol to our eastern neighbour.
