Indian and BANGLADESH Forces in the Eastern Theatre.

What did actually the command status signify?
Where did Gen Osmany stand in the command status and force structure?
Entire Bangladesh Forcres undercommand Gen Osmany,Commander in Chief ,were deployed in the Indian 'Eastern Theatre' in 71 Indo Pak War.
For Bangladesh Forces there was no 'Eastern Theatre'.
There was no mention of Joint Forces or Mitra Bahini in the Instrument.

Whats the big deal. Pakistan forces and Pakistanis in this board (and in general) credit only India for defeating Pakistan forces in East Pakistan.

Surrender instrument of course will naturally reflect this. It is why your country is eternally in debt to India for its very existence.

You really think they would have signed such a surrender if we included BD rag tag things in it?...the same rag tag things that were getting their asses handed to them and were utterly dependent on Indian lifeline to stay afloat in first phase of the civil war? Of course they wont.

Thats why we got to decide what to do with the POWs, they surrendered to us, not you.

You lot would be even bigger ingrates today if rag tags were included in surrender document....so in hindsight it was an excellent decision to keep it strictly between India and Pakistan....the only professional forces that counted in the theatre.

Bangladesh is not eternally in debt to India, never. Rather India is eternally in debt to Bangladeshi Bangalis for seperating from Pakistan. As today a united Pakistan with two large army both sides would have crushed Hindu-India easily left and right.

Its an estimate of the pure net profit we extract each year (from cesses on goods, margins on services and plenty of multiplier effect from soft culture and tourism)...the total worth of goods and services would be a lot higher than 10 billion.

Don't have to post how small the pittance grant was compared to the loans (which will need interest....again pure profit)....we all saw it the last time.
