If 9/11 was happened in some backward countries then people would have been forget it long ago and it did not had as much significance as it is right now..There were loss of many innocent lives after 9/11 in different incident but no one talk about them

One an a half hour before the attack, I was sitting in a car with a Muslim colleague discussing
how to behave if You were in a 100 story skyscraper on fire.
That fact has raised a few eyebrows since then...

My whole family watched it and all were concerned about future of muslims as it was firm believe that it was done to restructure and supress Muslim world.

I was a kid back then, so wasn't much aware of the situation. All I remember is the footage of the airplanes crashing, black smoke coming out of the burning twin towers, people falling down and later the collapse of the world trade center.

I had an ex-girlfriend who worked in there and spent the next 9 hours wondering if she was dead. Luckily she was late for work and didn't make it in. She emailed me back at around 7pm.

My brother rang me and when I came home I switch on TV. Soon the towers went down. Just shocking. However little did I know that we had passed into post Cold War era. A new enemy, a new bogeyman called "the Muslim" was born that day. In UK we went from the bad Red Bear external monster and home grown Irish terrorists to "Mooslems, Mooslems, Moo, Moo where are you?"
