Just receiving news that PAF has successfully test fired AAMs from K-8P thus clearing it for air combat duties.

which radar is housed by K 8 ? is it wise to use K8 for combat duties keeping in view its low speed and service ceiling ?

Interesting! It is just a trainer. So in what role PAF intends to use it?

Everyone hating on the K8.
It's relatively low stall speed and ceiling make it perfect for engagment of slow flying ACs, Helicopters and UAVs.
Also remember that the best Ground Support ACs are slow ones like the A10 and SU25.
So stop bashing the K8.

did"n know talibans have fighter aircrafts
Neither do some of the rebels where the Hawk has been deployed.
No air force has the luxury to design and arm aircraft for one particular mission else there wouldn't be a need to put sidewinders on the A-10.

Aircraft of comparable role, configuration and era to the K-8.

@Muhammad Omar your links contain weird strings... check them out and put in proper links, thx.

Its a training aircraft, isn't it?

PAF should also do some developements on K8, both internally and externally. Planes like K8 are probably the best choice when it comes to fighting against groups as we do today. No need to use bigger planes, as they are more expensive to use.
